I was thinking of a terrorist/merc kit, and then happened upon Electronic Gaming Monthly with "ARMY OF TWO" on the cover. This'll be coming out for PS3 + XBox360 next year, I believe. And here's a link to a whole whack of MUCH better quality pictures: http://media.ps3.ign.com/media/825/825893/imgs_1.html Anyhow, I just wondered what different items these mercs are wearing - especially the thigh/shin/protective pads. Do these things really exist or are they merely 'stylish creations' by the game's artists? If parts of the gear are 'made-up', what's the closest facimile to it in real life? I know it's a "halloween costume" of gear compared to authentic kits, but it's not like authentic gear counts for much in the game of airsoft. At any rate, if someone showed up to wargames in this gear, they would surely gain points for intimidation =) All help is appreciated! Al. Link to post Share on other sites

JCYC5 Posted August 23, 2006 Report Share Posted August 23, 2006 Been over this with someone They use ice hockey shin pads. Itech released a couple about 2 years ago that look quite similar in shape. They appear to be using BHI's Recon Chest Harness or Eagle's Rhodesian chest harness. Mag pouches are shingles. The thigh pads can be made from cutting up a pair of hockey pants. From the fit, it looks like Tacklas. Mask is a ballistic face mask. eBay has those. Or, you can get a toy "old school" hockey goal tender face mask and paint it black.
