But that is an A1, is it not? And therefore not subject to the midlife upgrade. However, JSDF have used the SA80 since 1992 and it is listed as the H&K version on thier website. So, I dont know if this means that they have upgraded to the A2 or if H&K were responsible for the production of the A1 in Nottingham.

Nope, NATO is 7.62x51. You're thinking of the 7.62x52 rimmed Russian used in things like the Dragunov and PK. Also, the NATO round is much more pointed than the 7.62 Warsaw Pact.

The TR is not the P90 tactical. It the tactical looks similar but has more usable iron sights (or so I'm led to believe)
