Eddie182
Hi all, I've just found two fieldcraft guides on pdf files sat on my pc. I wrote them a couple of years ago for a the cadet sqn I help with as a bit of home reading for the new guys. The first is basic Infantry stuff, just a brief outline and a few pointers. The second is an in depth sniper tactics guide, about 5 pages if I remember correctly. If anyone wants to have a look thorough I have attached the files so feel free to download as use them as you want. Not doing any good sat on my hard drive so I may as well share them around. 57Kb for the basic field skills and 221Kb for the sniper one.
McMadkat
Nice guides! Thanks for sharing them.
Eddie182
You are very welcome. Looking at the number of downloads so far, I may write few more as well. Been planning on doing one for field formations and basic section tactics etc for quite a while. If there is the interest for them out there I'll certainly write them. P.S. Any feedback you have would be gratefully received. Also I realise a few point may not be applicable to airsoft but I'm sure the majority will be of use to many of you. doc_newstead
Very cool. I linked to the US field manuals a good while ago too; might be worth reading just for cross-reference http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/lib...policy/army/fm/ Basic combat skills (concealment, cover, positioning, etc): http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/lib...1-75/index.html
Eddie182
I'm now working on a more comprehensive fieldcraft guide. Seen as the 2 above are proving useful to people, I figure a comprehensive guide will be well received. Once that is done, I'll do one on field formations and signals with images as examples. Eddie182
Hi all, I have completed my more comprehensive basic fieldcraft guide. Once again please feel free to download it and use it as you wish. I hope you find it useful.
Eddie182
I've made a few ammedments to my guide, including the addition of illustrations to help with a few points. Download below. Hope it's useful.
Crandall
thanks for the new guide! I've actually been having a lot of trouble with range estimation, and I will be looking over your guide to better myself at this skill! Cheers
Un_FriendlyFire
With airsoft its a bit easier and yet a bit harder seeing as your mostly working within 50 metres and its easier to tell the difference between 400 and 100 metres than 50 and 40 metres. Section tactics should have formations in the same thing methinks, individual fire and maneuver would be a useful one as well
Arnie
The guide is now added to the articles section on site too.
Eddie182
Cheers Arn. Please note. I've removed the file from my attachments. Please download via the articles section if you want it.
