Happy Hippy Birthday :D
Yup its the big four-oh for me - in 16 years time Yes I am now technically 24, my word, only 16 years until I'm 40? Sh*t, I really hadn't thought of it like that before
Oh well, according to the last entry it doesn't matter anyway, so lets just get on with things with a smile, a wave, and the occasional little boogie and a few healthy sups of `that ol' Janx spirit` to lubricate the passage ( )
In the latest thing from the world of airsoft - I am nearing the completion of my collection Yeah I know it sounds crazy, but I do actually have a final settling point where I'll have 80 guns, and that really is enough, really.
Honestly, seriously, that is it - end-of.
Of course thats just what I consider to be actually `necessary` for me to own, on top of that I am of course permitted a few indulgences Up until now its merely been a matter of duty, you understand.
What I did, at the end of last summer in early September sort-of time, was draw up my wish list of guns I knew I had to get before the ban came into effect, and I ended up with a list of about 35 items - a realistic number, I knew, as with winter coming up there is f**k-all else to spend any money on, so The Collection became my sole focal point: my reason for working and saving.
Now summer is on its way the reason for working is to go out in the sunshine and get binned with my mates, as opposed to in mah hoose on mah own, like.
Priorities change - spendability doesn't, however. I fully expect me to have a lot of kickass clothes, damaged goods and hazy memories by the time we reach autumn; ones that I didn't have before, anyway But the point is that there are only 6 guns left for me to get, and with my finances cut in half as of the first week of March, thats probably a very good thing!
What I still need to get now is listed in full below: Anything else I happen to tag onto these last few orders is just frippery
Marushin M1 Garand - most important and the only respectably expensive gun left on The List.
Western Arms M1934 - just for the Bond appeal, really - Bond was forced to relinquish his beretta at the start of Dr. No and the ubiquitous Walther PPK took over from there and has seemingly never looked back ... at least, until big bro' P99 kicked its *albatross* and stole its thunder. The Collection will have to include one of these `origins-flavoured` mementoes, even if its not the exact same one from the film (it certainly isn't the one from the book). I'm not much bothered as to which model exactly, even the silver version will do, but I guess the silencer model would be favourite if the choice is there.
Maruzen VZ61 - I have to get one, maybe even 2; we all saw The Matrix, didn't we??!!
Tanaka Luger P08 artillery (8") all thanks to Snowman's superb review (as always) and high praise for it. If he thinks it s the best GBB out there then its worth virtually any amount of money to get one!
Western Arms M84 Spypack Deluxe - again for the sheer bloody Bond -ing hell of it, thanks to Die Another Day this is almost impossible to find. The begathon begins again here, folks: if you can find one for me I honestly will reward you handsomely.
UTG M87 Fullstock Entry shotgun - because its the closest thing to the one Ms. Jolie uses in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, and I am the most fanboyestest person ever to the action and weaponry in that film. I think. Excluding anyone under the age of 15
There seems to be a running trend in my choices here of course - off the top of your head; would you say I am easily influenced?
