The slide on the dragon cane be swapped out for whatever, the regular 5.1 slides fit fine. I could swap my TM one on there and get pics if you guys want? Oh, and the paint. It's Rustoleum High Heat Paint, don't know the color atm. I'll look it up later.

Yup! Really inexpesinve way to get a full length dust cover, heh. The scope is actually a dummy I pulled off of my G&P Standalone 203, but I'll be mounting my NCStar Jpoint copy to it soon enough.

Update! The mount isn't finished yet, it needs a little cleaning up, but it works!

The WE metal is actually really nice! To give you an idea, the frame on the pistol is still the stock finish. The internals leave a little bit to be desired, but since you've got all your stock Marui parts laying around I imagine, just swap 'em out like I did, works infinitely better. The new finish on the slide and magwell is actually an applied finish. I had to strip them all the way down to the bare metal and then just sprayed a few coats on and let it set properly.

You wouldn't have a harware store around anywhere near, would you? I get 3/16" round aluminum rod from work all the time, then just cut it to length and add the bend, drop in fit to most front sight bases. Easiest way in my opinion, since they're not functional on airsoft guns anyways

Not that I noticed on my RS, but ok. Maybe I wasn't paying attention. ETA: Guess you were right. I reinstalled the Wilson Combat on mine, it doesn't contour quite right. I guess it's the angle of that one picture that makes it look much more pronounced than it really is.

The magwell is either a very wear resistant paint, or the same finish applied to the outer barrel; I suspect the latter. It must be either anodising, or a chemical treatment of some type. I can check for a mathcing paint when I go to work on thursday; maybe I'll get lucky.

The compensator is threaded for .685"x40 I believe, so it left space between the 14mm thread adapter and the comp itself. I had to file down the forward profile of the outer barrel (the section that sits forward of the slide) to match the .685" ID of compensator, which allowed me to seat the compensator properly on the slide for a long enough period of time to fill the space between the threads on the adapter and the threads on the compensator with JB Weld and allow it to cure. Almost completed Hi-Capa. Installed the scope mount last night. It's a CPMi Aimpoint 5000 series mount for 1911/Tripp Frames

SVI makes (made at some point at least) single stack hybrids, dunno if that's what you're looking for.

It's a STAR G27 grip, picked it up from AEX. Will probably be replacing it with a duckbill pistol grip when I install the bushmaster body I'm planning on.

I've done gone and modded my Hi-Capa some more. I've shaped the trigger guard a bit more agressively and I also smoothed out the grip stippling near the magazine catch, ala http://www.clarkcustomguns.com/images/apsgripfeatures.jpg I also found a smokin' deal on a different comp for the gun. It's a Gan's Guns Model 21 comp This Guy Now the question remains....what color shall I make the grip? I was thinking attempting something like this, what do you guys think?
