  1. Where did you get the LLM01s from lads? First one to say "don't quote pictures" wins.
  2. A bloke at my local site has an M203 on his M4 with both of the foregrips still in place. Needs some dremelling work on the foregrips though. Spent about 10 minutes trying to find the picture, but failed
  3. I feel the same to be honest. I skirmish when i can, but i fear that it will all be far too much hassle in the future.
  4. Very interested in the cylinder head and anti reversal latch. One thing that springs to mind though - i thought ALL gearboxes needed individula shimming and that very few gearboxes were alik in shimming. So how does this product work exactly? What would be interesting is if modify released the gear frame seperate, so that the user's own gears could be taken out as one piece. Ie CA gears in a modify frame. That would make things much easier for existing GBs.
  5. As for the UGL, i've not heard of anyone fitting one to a G&G yet. Although i do wander how it fits the STAR. Perhaps someone with a lathe could knock up a new barrel, the same profile as the STAR one to allow the UGL to fit. Or maybe its more complicated than that
  6. I'm sure i posted this in the thread before. If it was me i'd get: G&G SA80 low resistance wiring set TM Piston, spacer and sector gear Systeam/Prometheus Hop up chamber Guarder hop up rubber CA tightbore barrel
  7. Unsure on that one mate. I know that its a G&G clone and that the G&G came out of the box firing at a much higher fps than that. Some have been said to be doing 340fps as well. Anyway, i'll see which way the VCR is going in October and this will be top of my shopping list
  8. Putting several thousand rounds through the ARMY R85 at a standard fps is very different to firing say 10 shots through one with a one joule spring an a 9.6v battery. Unless people follow the upgrade guide they can expect to start stripping pistons and gears. Simply dropping in a one joule spring, with an 8.4v battery or a 9.6 will probably knacker the gun, based on some of the posts here. That is to say, if i had one i wouldn't bother firing it untill i'd followed the safe one joule downgrade guide done by stealthbomber. As for the cocking handles - couldn't you tap a hole in t
  9. 10mm spacer. It can be made by using the weight from a TM piston and a longer screw, although thats not ideal.
  10. http://www.rsov.com/store/product_info.php...c97c08a0c5764cd What are the two parts next to the gears?
  11. Silicone oil is also sold at halfords and DIY shops. Check for 100% silicone oil content, or a label somewhere that says "suitable for plastics and rubber." Much cheaper than the special airsoft lubes.
  12. May have to try a machine shop - i tried B&Q for grub screws and was told that they were a bit too specialist.
  13. Landwarrior airsoft mentioned chrono'ing their test version of the R85 on ASCUK and getting 340fps.
  14. I would LOVE to see a clone LSW. However, it would involve R&D on there part, whereas the SA80 didn't. So as much as i honestly would love to own one, i doubt we'll ever see a clone LSW.
  15. Ah so its a limited number item then? The idea was to wait for a while, until theres more reviews then get one. Will i miss out you reckon?
  16. I'm seeing a lot of "pre-order now to avoid disapointment!" Is that pre-order now, or you won't get one for a while, or pre-order now or they'll be totally sold out? I was going to wait for a few more reviews before getting one, to make sure they're all as good as FarEast's one.
  17. I think when i get one i'll look at modding the mag catch, rather than the mags.
  18. Perhaps the lower the spring, the slower the piston goes forward (sounds very basic) - so this gun could potentially still die, if you just drop in a 328fps spring?
  19. I ahevn't heard of anyone fitting an AG36 to a G&G Sa80 yet. I think it could be done with a lot of machining - ie a new front end.
  20. I knwo what you mean about the noise - you feel it "hit" you almost don't you? The closest i've come to firing a real pistol though is using an 8mm Glock 17 blank firer and a 8mm P38 blank firer - both good fun. I don't know if you've used the WE M1911A1 but that definetly has a cold feeling to the metal, unlike every other airsoft pistol i've used.
  21. Re Angrys comment - sorry for my impatience. You know what its like, new gun, cheap price, lots of speculation etc. Still not really an excuse. Thanks for everything you've done FarEast and congrats on the child!
  22. FarEast - any chance that you could drop in a 328fps spring and just see what happens please? Or see if the gears are TM compatible. I'd imagine for a lot of people that would be an important point. That and whether the tappet plate is TM compatible. many thanks, LJ
  23. Brilliant review! Far east - could you tell us what happens when you put in a 328fps spring in please? Also are the gears proprietry? I'd love one, but i'd love to know how durable it is. Also - the sights being matte, are the same as the originals i have.
  24. I've seen a fair few pictures of squaddies with pistols on operations in afghanistan and iraq. Mainly in PLCE/58 holsters mounted on their trouser belts, or cheap droplegs. Looks awesome ubar - whats the chest rig? An hm supplies/sasskit / troopers special?
  25. Aye. Personally i think knife kills should be outlawed in airsoft, but thats for another thread. I'm thinking of getting the scabbard and frog to put on my webbing though.
