heres my stock JG 416 , nice and simple , all i"ve done to it is add an SPR trigger guard and an ASAP plate less is more ! also i"ve numbered all my mags as well , as has been said if you have a problem with one , you know which one its later , seems like common sence to me , but every one to there own i suppose .

don"t knock it mate thats a nice looking gun , nice and simple and un-cluttered , some times we get so fixated on add-on"s that the gun gets lost under the extras we strap to it .

just put a CTR on my TM EBB socom , tight as a nut no wobble of eny sort at all , in fact its a bit of a sqeeze getting on and off .

starmonkee , i PM"ed him the same thing yesterday , i PM"ed him and not open posted for the exact reason you just gave ! in case the "its not real!!" mob started shouting

over the past 2wks ive also changed my set up to lipo and deans , noted a BIG diffrence . especialy on sunday up at the asylum , d"nt have the lipos then just deans conectors on the gun and my standard batts , rate of fire dramaticaly increased but so did the battery munching , as in a batt that had previously lasted all day just about lasted a morning !

dribble ! now thats a gun worth waiting for !!

thing that clinched it for me was from the box you DON"T HAVE TO up-grade , you up-grade by choice not necessity , not that meny guns on the market like that

but usmcCorps we all know that the gun that can empty its mag in .001 of a second is "am best gun"! serious though , totally agree accurate wins over rate of fire , which is why i love my socom . and i do think its down to the dial hop in it .

no sweat mate didn"t think there was eny Machiavallian plans against the sopmod/socom"s ! take your point about poor results from CA and JG but was just making the point that none off my other guns by several diffrent manifactures have even come close to it for the points i listed . funnily enuff at my last scurmish there was a new VFC M4ES there that day , he had me on ROF (not too important to me, only takes one BB to get a kill ) but i did take him quite significantly on range and accuracy .

Ecthelion curius , do you own or have you owned a socom/sopmod ? reason i ask is from your posts you clearly don"t like this gun (my self all i can say is my socom is one of the best airsoft guns i"ve ever owned) i find the range and accuracy far better than most of my other guns including TM,classic army,JG and several other china soft brands or is fireing it the once in Japan your only contact with it ?

cheers matey , had a chuckle to my self when i saw the pic of yours , i"ve just bought an MOE hand guard in black off Beaker for mine ! am trying to keep it as un-cluttered as i can , think it looks so much better like that (plus i have a masada thats all ready got all the bells and wistles on it !)

Yup it is a SOCOM , don"t think its the trigger control , as i made a point of not snatching for this very reason after previous post in relation to the problem , so as i said see what happens after i"ve changed to Deans (fingers crossed! )

me too mate (last wknd at dragon valley) was using a 9.6v1600 batt with mini tamiya" but am changing over too deans conectors at the mo and li-po some time in the near future (as suggested by rich y ), will post up if it helps .

very easy mate , strap with a press stud on one side then a nexus D ring on the other side attached with a short lenth of webbing bar tacked in place .

just realised asking all these questions and haven"t posted my socom , how rude !

yup no probs mate , the batts i run are all 9.6 1400"s with tamiya"s , have been thinking of changing over to deans (every one i speak too say there better) also have been toying with idea of li-po but bit nervous as i don"t have a "scooby doo" about them .

cheers for the hard work Rich , i have the socom so looks like its a "bita trigger finger control" thats needed , though its going to be hard (do love the recoil!)on the point of increasing the cycle i know its probably not a real worrie but cant help having the niggling thought in the back of the head about ramping up the rate of fire , will it have a detremental effect on the gun ? (having the recoil unit slaming back and forth at a faster rate ? )

hah ! your not safe eny were !! on topic , the masada does look so much sweeter with the short barrel , i run mine with an M4 flash hider so i can stick a quick release suppresor on it if i fancy , i feel it dosen"t carry larger flash hiders very well they all ways look out of proportion to me .

could give you a realy long winded reason " tactical shooting position" or some other load of old bo***x but truth is had to b*****dise it so much to fit it won"t stay on eny thing else now so i"ve left it on to save wasting it !

i agree an moe grip would look a lot better , its on the "too biy" list but not at the top yet !
