I never really liked it either, but those look bloody nice!!

Three things: - Bloody nice gun mate! - Which trades exactly need to be painted in which colour? Once I get my SD slide I think I'd like to paint them in correctly. - How would I paint them? With a tiny brush? I don't really want to mess it up... Cheers!

I can't wait for an airsoft Magpul MIAD! The second they release it, its going on my VFC HK416!

I won't have white trades come next week, when my Shooters Design slide arrives! To be honest, I don't really mind the white trades either though...

Sounds good dude - are you going to attach that G&P Bungee Sling using one of their CQB adaptors that is installed in front of the stock by the way? Haven't been able to spot anywhere to attach a sling on this gun...

Alright, cheers for the pointer dude! Just wondering, what size rail covers are needed for the HK416 to cover up most of the rails? There's so many sizes and I haven't been able to find the length of the rails. PS: I already bought a package of those MAG 100 round mags and a mate of mine has been using them with his M4 until I get my HK416 - just wanted to let you know, they're great! They feed right up to the last bullet and he ain't getting a single misfeed.

Sorry for the double post, but for some reason I can't edit my previous post! I have a quick question about the length of the inner barrel in the 10-inch version. On WGC and UNC it says that the barrel length is 267mm - however, the closest tightbore barrel is only 247mm long. Why would VFC choose such a weird barrel length - this means that I would loose range if I installed a tightbore which is really too short, right? Somehow, this isn't making sense to me...

Wow, that sounds horrible - and I'm about to buy one of these!! As I am already ordering the gun with a few upgrades preinstalled, could you let me know which trigger unit you will install? I'll have them upgrade it before shipping because I don't want to fry anything! Cheers dude

That's a very good question by the way Verymanynames - I prefer how the 10 inch looks, so the only reason I'm considering the 14.5 inch is for the added accuracy. If the inner barrel is the same length in both, I'll definitely get the 10 inch!

I still can't decide between the 10.5 inch and the 14.5 inch version... :S If I get the 10.5 inch I'll also get a tightbore barrel as I need the accuracy - we play mainly woodland games. Which length of tightbore barrel would I need to get for the 10.5 inch version? Thanks!

Seeing as some of you have experienced your trigger getting stuck before, do you think I'd be worth getting a different trigger wire unit from an after market manufacturer?

I can see what you're saying, but based off the rest of this thread (I don't actually own a VFC HK416 yet), the internals don't seem very crappy at all. The way I've understood it, some parts are even better than "standard" and nothing except the hop up bucking is "######" - meaning you won't have to touch the internals unless you want better performance, in which case you'll always have to shell out extra cash...

Do you think its worth buying the DX version, that includes both the 14.5 inch and 10 inch configurations? I could save 50 bucks by only getting one of them but I'm not sure which I would prefer... Thanks!

Is there any reason in particular you're going for the G&P? I was going to get the Hurricane battery stock because I've heard some good things about it but I'm not really sure about the G&P... Thanks!

Really? I heard PDI springs basically perform just as well as Systema but are not as stressful on the gearbox because they are wound differently... Might have to consider getting a Systema instead then because inconsistent don't sound so good!
