  1. Cheers, interesting. The design of the DW doesn't help really. The spring loaded centering cone pushes against the chambers much harder than it needs to, increasing strain on the pawl anyway. In saying that, the pawl is really not fit for purpose on them, it really is rubbish.
  2. I really do like certain revolvers, but I've had 3 Dan Wessons now where the pawl has lasted no more than 3-400 rounds before it's worn and won't index the cylinder. Out of interest, how are the Tanaka's and TM's in this respect?
  3. Very, very nice job there buddy - looks considerably better to say the very least.. I normally finish off with some Briwax. It's hard wearing and gives a really nice sheen. I was actually hugely tempted to buy that when you had it for sale!!....
  4. That Predator is lovely, Not a lot of guns around with the tapered barrel..
  5. Nice grips on that commander - very unusual.
  6. Give them a go mate, sure you'll be reasonably happy. Better than WE (which I know you kinda love to hate..) - although I've not given my (which may be lengthy ) reply on those yet - sure you'll look forward to it....... ...or possibly not.
  7. Hmm, Only seen one broken slide so far and that was user inflicted. Obviously, you can only go by personal experience and at the price point I'm quite impressed. Price point in mind, these are deffo worth a punt. Nice to shoot as well, quite accurate and very punchy blowback. TM compatible is always a big plus..
  8. I bought one from here and one from the Umarex Boys Club forum buddy. Shame these are not more widely available. When I blasted these off, the castings are better than virtually any other factory metal gun I've seen - and I've worked on a lot! Really impressed with these Army guns so far. bargain at the price....
  9. I got another Gold Cup, but kept the finish a bit more basic than the last. Epoxy coated, grips and polished trigger / hammer..
  10. WA Infinity with the frame polished and blued...
  11. Sure, will try at the weekend for you. This was a strange one. I've polished and blued airsoft for others in the past, and it does actually come out looking deep blue like the RS. On this however (Army), they seem to use a higher than normal aluminium content in the cast alloy, so it turns a deep brown / bronze (which still looks nice), so I may have to try an aluminium black when I do my next one of these in a couple of weeks. Manufacturers seem to use slightly different alloys to each other, so you can't always tell how it will come out until you apply the blue. The main thing thou
  12. Hi mate, Basically, I polish then use a gun blue / brown. Unfortunately, it doesn't wear very well as when you blue steel, so I lock the finish in with a hard gloss epoxy.
  13. Grips arrived, but can't seem to get a decent pic which does this justice, so you'll have to put up with my rubbish ones...
  14. Hard work then!, but still stunning and worth it..
  15. Do they tarnish easily buddy? Hard to keep clean? Either way, they are both stunners. Especially the Gold Cup - one of my favourite guns ever. Don't remember them having a beavertail though, or ambi safety unless they did it on one of the very late models before being discontinued? Edit. MKIV Series 80? - but has wrong rear site for that I think?
  16. Getting there... Just waiting for some grips and the correct flat base mag to arrive...
  17. Thanks buddy, but not sure I'd ever sell that one. Probably one of the best made / quality reps I've come across of a 1911 A1. I'd take it over the Inokatsu all day long.
  18. One of my faves. WA based, but can't remember what kit this was now!! Excellent quality to say the least though. All cnc and very defined, not a cast mark in sight.
  19. I'll add the rest of it later. My latest build....
  20. Nice..... Probably quite rare with that kit fitted.
  21. Difficult without seeing it, but I'd agree..
  22. WA FBI Trial, in their heavyweight material with teflon finish...
