  1. SocomGear are supposed to fit upgraded valves and springs to WE pistols but ive yet to work on one that has. Glad to see though they are swapping to KJW. Totally TM compatible as 'RacingManiac' says. Pity their Les Baer isnt based on a REAL Les Baer varient, Ultimate recon?? They should have called it the 'Custom Carry' then it would have been right. Mind you its nice to see an airsoft Les Baer at all!
  2. Now that is a very nice TRP 'mimesis', many thanks for sharing.
  3. That is gorgeous!!! Loving the photography 'RacingManiac'.
  4. Nice Warrior. ARMY version me thinks? Thanks 'RacingManiac'
  5. Its a total custom build 'RacingManiac'. Made from a TM MEU frame and a front dust cover from a spare TM Desert Warrior I had lying around. I pinned and glued the two sections together, filled the chin cuts on the standard TM 5.1 slide and cut forward serrations aswell. So far after 6 months of infrequent use (so many pistols and not enough time to use them) its still rocking! Ive now built five Les Baer's. Premier II, Thunder Ranch Special, The Boss, Custom Carry and now the Monolith.
  6. Thanks 'Jimmypie' for the compliment. Yeah, like you, im not a fan of the '2011 brigade' myself but some of the designs within this thread deserve a nod of appreciation from time to time for the work and love thats gone into them. For your first build im impressed. Sounds to me like you have caught the customizing bug if you already have another one on the go lol. Good luck my friend and when its finished we want to see the evidence
  7. WOW! That is nice, clean lines and im loving the duo tone design. Smart pistol 'Jimmypie'
  8. Now that's what I call a very nice selection 'hitmanNo2' You certainly do have a thing for 'bling'. All WA's apart from the DE? I like black myself...Monolith black
  9. Yeah ive got a set of those grips (good grips BTW) but they have to have the squared trigger guard as then it matches the film version. Thanks for the thought though 'RacingManiac'. Now thats what I like to see. Not a 'safe queen' to quote RS parlence but a workhorse. Battered but unbeaten, nice one 'Zmarre'.
  10. Nope never..... confirmed addict
  11. Thanks guys The compensator is the front half of a 5.1 slide with a 5.1 /MEU night warrior hybrid barrel glued and pinned into it. The front of the comp has a muzzle made from a section of 4.3 barrel again glued and pinned. The guide rod is a custom made one, with the plug sleeved with a small section of copper pipe so the rod doesn't rattle around. The hardest part was getting it all to line up and not have the slide front hit the back of the comp. The slide has also had custom serrations added along with external extractors (fake obviously). Eventually I want to get the correct 'Pachma
  12. Beautiful guns you have there 'RacingManiac' simply beautiful Well here's my now rebuilt and refurbished replica of the Federal Ordnance PSP-07 pistol as used by Steven Segal in his film 'Marked for Death'. Based on the TM 5.1 but with no aftermarket kits, just totally custom built.
  13. My custom built 'Punisher' 1911. Parts used to build this were: TM 1911a1 base gun. TSC extended magwell. Nineball extended slide lock. TM MEU 'Kings' type ambi-safety. TM MEU grip safety. Freedom Art rear sight (fore sight custom made). Guarder trigger. SPD extended guide rod. TM Hi-capa 5.1 guide rod plug. TM 4.3 Hi-capa hammer (polished). Nineball hop rubber. TM Hi-capa 5.1 and MEU Night Warrior outer barrels (custom joined). TM VSR inner barrel (Cut to size). Custom made grips (using TM 1911a1 grips sanded down and sprayed). Compensator custom made from anothe
  14. Not sure if ive posted this already, if I have I apologies. My TM MEU based Springfield Armoury TRP (Guarder chrome kit). This was a pain in the preverbials to fit and I wont be buying another Guarder kit in a hurry I can tell you
  15. Loving that collection Clockwork_O.
  16. Ive used WAs guide rods and springs before now and they fitted fine in TM 1911 pistols (My Wilson KZ-9 still has its one fitted!) but why dont you just grind down the checkered face of the standard 1911a1 plug till its smooth then 'key' it with sandpaper for a coat of paint? I did this with my custom made AMT Hardballer 6 inch I did a while back. Check it out on my YouTube page link in my signature
  17. Yes its identical in function to the TK slide spacer. The MEU BBH is different to the Hi-capas but will fit the Hi-capa slide OK. Actually the MEU BBH is a universal type and will fit all of the TM 1911 style pistols. Hope that helps guys P.S: Hurricane kits are usually a drop fit but like all things you will on occasion get 'rogue' ones that fall the through the QA net. Ive installed a Hurricane Desert Warrior kit to a friends MEU and it was a pleasure to do, with no jams or malfunctions but you must lap the slide by racking it for a good while to bed it in and get a smooth cyc
  18. Very nice Kimber Warrior you have there.
  19. The Tanio Koba slide spacer goes just inside the left side of the metal inner frame of the TM MEU. You can get away with not using one like I have and it still functions fine but the slide rises up slightly when the slide lock lever actuates. I may get one fitted eventually as using higher power gas and over a long time this will cause damage I suspect. The only problem with the SD slide is the length, as it allows the outer barrel to protrude just a tad to much from the end of the slide muzzle. SD have based their dimensions on the older TM Hi-capa's who's slides are shorter by about 1.5mm
  20. My latest project a Kimber Custom II using a Shooters Design slide with sights, bushing and plug fitted to a TM MEU. Additional items fitted are Nova furniture, TM Strike Warrior beavertail, TM 4.3 hammer, SPD extended guide rod, TM Marpat grips sprayed black, Nineball hop rubber, PDI 6.01mm inner barrel and TK MSH.
  21. No I doubt it, as the dust cover on the Detonics is shorter but you could adapt it to fit I would think. That is one beautiful NH 'uscmCorp'.
  22. No you cannot fit the Dytac Wilson Combat bumpers as TM have fitted thin metal pads to the bases of the new long mags...why? Plus they are pinned not screwed bases, which means maintenance is a pain as the more you fiddle with the pins the more likely they are to leak! I purchased the black version but now wish I had the chrome version, as the spring follower sticks due to the black matt paint. In cold weather they do have a problem firing all the BBs (cooled one down in my fridge to test) but if you only fill them to where the BB channel opens out then all are fired with ease on a single gas
  23. Yes its my ugly mug im afraid I did this in Paintshop as I just cannot seem to get on with Photoshop
  24. Reminds me of my background pic on my YouTube channel
  25. Yes they can be a costly item but Mike builds them well So many nice 1911s to want but so little money to hand...damn!
