  1. It's been a while since I've reviewed an AEG or pistol but it's now time for me to review the Celcius AKM. The last time I reviewed a Celcius product it didn't do too well but in fairness I try to be as open as possible with anything I review so if the AKM is good or bad I'll be as fair as I can. There is a little bit of general information to go through first before I start the review. The Celcius AKM comes in two flavours. You can buy a complete AKM with electrics and wooden furniture for $1000 or the other option is to buy the Expert Solution which is basically the AKM minus the motor,
  2. I'll do a full review shortly but initial impressions are good. I stuck in a set of etiny electrics and a etiny motor and it works well. It's an interesting design with lots of little nice touches and features. Only snag with mine at the moment is the cut off lever doesn't want to behave. I've bypassed it for the time being until I have a better look at it. Pro's include: very short trigger pull very fast cycle when pulling the trigger magazine cuts off the electrics when empty and you need to cock the weapon after fitting a new magazine to be able to fire (like the real thing)
  3. After a delayed shipment and an even longer spell in UK customs I finally got my hands on a Celcius AKM (3 months from paying to receiving). I've no idea how it fires yet as I need to fit the etiny electrics and motor and bore out the stock to take the battery.
  4. Any love for old skool AK's? Inokatsu AKM with Slab sided magazine and Kobra RDS
  5. Here's a mock up. I think you could take a Guarder slide and have it milled and then have the cap CNC'd to achieve the look.
  6. agreed. I have a spare plastic slide here which I might chop up to see how it would work. Probably need to screw the RMR to the BDU as there would be nothing left of the top of the slide. Edit - just chopped a plastic slide up. Looks like it can be done.
  7. Didn't like the stippling so I went for a tan based G23. Here it is along with the other 19/23/32 sized frames I have. (top right needs engraving if I can find someone to engrave it)
  8. Finally got a sliding stock for my Turkish HK33. It really needs a MKE polymer magazine to finish it off but so far I haven't been able to find one.
  9. Tried my hand at stippling an old KJW frame. Looks ok I think.
  10. I've found that some gas guns (pistols and rifles) can't fire when the magazine has Black gas as the hammer spring is too weak. If you use Black gas then you need to consider upgrading the hammer spring. Black gas is good for the winter and probably too high a FPS in the summer (and because of the expansion it can destroy your gas gun).
  11. My continually evolving ARMY Glock 17. It's turning in to a bit of a beast. Currenty hitting 340 FPS with Guarder Black gas in WE magazines.
  12. If I remember correctly Guarder produced the first metal AK kits for thr TM AK47. They had a few different models and the early models had a slope to the back of the receiver which was wrong. The OEM for Guarder was Inokatsu who decided to start selling the kits direct. They also never sold the wrong sloping back receiver model. They also used to do the best promo photos if anyone can remember LCT came along and was a copy of the Inokatsu kits but at a much cheaper price. Throw into the mix VFC, G&G, Unicorn and a few others and it starts to get confusing. The markings on the fire sel
  13. I decided that I didn't like the worn plastic grips on my KSC M93R so I visited rainbow8.com and picked up a set of wooden grips. I had to slightly modify them to fit and I also gave them a quick coat of teak stain.
  14. cheers for the comments. I was in the process of finding some real furniture when I heard ARES would release the wood as a separate kit so after acquiring a real worn carry handle I stopped looking for real stocks (rocking horse pooh) and foregrips. To be honest I quite like the fresh from factory look and I've actually got the ARES full auto selector to fit at some point.
  15. Merry Christmas. I managed to escape the madness in my house for 30 mins to fit the wooden SLR furniture I told the other half to get me for xmas. This has been fitted to the original Star SLR and not the newer version and fitted without any issues.
  16. The KSG shell swapping is a bit fiddly and swapping the gas tank is a bit of a pain but in saying that it's fun to shoot. I never bothered with slam firing so I don't miss it. Overall I like it as much as the breachers. There is a lack of accessories for the KSG because is not been long released so I've made a Kydex check piece and working on 3D printed ver3 shell holder. right now it has 6 slots but I'll probably release it for free with a 2, 4 and 6 slot version when I'm finished. Another thing that could be made is a single shell holder for the base of the pistol grip as the grip is ho
  17. it's averaging 315 on the supplied magazine and tm/stark army mags give about the same. I'm getting 340 using WE mags. ignore the post above as my son decided to have his say!
  18. Bell/Octagon Glock 17L And just so you can see just how long it is....
