  1. No you don't . I just ordered the first print and it works out at about $350. That's the shapeways price and nothing to do with me.
  2. This should be the last pictures before the real thing. 16 parts in total and as near to the real thing as I could make it. All 16 parts: What it should look like when printed:
  3. looks like I might have to get the LCT then.
  4. I'm planning to mod it at the front as the front hand guards are seperate from the clamshell. I've not finalised exactly what i'm going to do but I'm thinking of having the front hand guards removable by a take down lever similar to the normal AK. There's space under the hand guards and inside the clam shell to fit a decent sized LIPO. oh and Drake is that the G&G Vintorez? AI did a bad review on it and I was wondering if it's any good. I've got a soft spot for G&G stuff and I wouldn't mind getting the V if it's any good.
  5. As delta said it's for the micro red dot. these are the prototypes for me to test out and to keep to the original thread here's an update on the AK12 stock. I thought the stock pad would be the easy part compard to the resr but as usual i'm wrong. It's getting there and hopefully be finished soon.
  6. It's neither. It's a AEG that doesn't exist in the real world. It's a cross between an AK and a SVD.It reminds me more of a PSL to be honest. There are only 2 "marksman" AK's out there, in mass production, and if you want to see what they look like do a google search on Yugo M76 and Iraqi Tabuk. Both of these are built on the M70 receiver and the Iraqi factory uses machines from the former yugoslavia. I have no idea yet until I upload it all to Shapeways once it's finished. Hopefully it won't be too expensive. Shapeways have delivered the first 2 parts: Flash hider Fake select
  7. get the JG. I rebuilt one a while ago and it's a direct copy of the TM version and all the aftermarket parts will fit
  8. next to nothing as it's pretty much all plastic
  9. The Blackviper clear Ak12 works out at about $105. As for a mid sized AK then you might want to check out the AK104 or 105
  10. yup the WELL and clear plastic one are the same AEG. Shapeways have finished the new flash hider and flake selector and they should arrive in the UK in a week or 2. So far the stock is going to be around 14 pieces and if all goes well the stock catch will work so that the stock can open and close. I'm going to produce the stock catch that sits on either side of the receiver near the magwell so that the stock can stay folded. I've also been thinking about making a longer front sight as the current one looks a bit short and the bayonet lug is in the wrong place. The last thing on my list
  11. how did you get the blued finish on the MG?
  12. can anyone tell me the 2 sizes in the picture below?
  13. Fake left side selector and longer flash hider knocked up in Sketchup I'll start the stock next
  14. it's the same AEG made in black. I suspect there is an OEM and Well and Blackviper are 3rd parties or BV are another name for Well. I've ordered one (transparent) to see what I can do. So far I'm looking at 3Ding a new flash hider, making a more realistic stock along with stripping the internals and fitting a mosfet'd metal V3 gearbox, new hop unit and inner barrel. I think there is enough room at the back of the receiver to make the folding stock a working model and I'll have a look at the mag release when it turns up. I think it's possible to make a working push button like the real thin
  15. I was thinking the same. possibly 3D print the stock parts so that it can fold and adjust.
  16. cheers for the comments. The Hi-power was the V1 from We which didn't have any hop so performance is a bit pants unless the target is about 10 feet away. oh and I do have a 1911 but it's got some wanky grips on it right now and didn't fit the theme
  17. The only thing they haven't printed was a 3D version of the Blackhawk knife I knocked up. There's a few Airsoft parts on there which seem to get printed ok
  18. Once I've finished the whole thing I'll release it on Shapeways for people to get made.
