  1. Does it work, that's my first question. My second is, where did you get it, and my third is how much did it cost?
  2. Beretta - did you take the cocking handle off that TAVOR and fit another rail there??
  3. That's hardly news, those have been around for years - since the AUG was developed, in fact, IIRC (Obviously, with Austria being a NATO country, the weapon had to be capable of accepting STANAG mags. I believe there are adaptors for every NATO rifle that doesn't use STANAG mags normally, the H&K G36, Sig 552, etc.) They're fairly rare though. Helpfully, I don't think the STANAG mag stock will accept normal AUG mags. But it might do, I've never examined the real-steel version. It would be good if you could just fit the AUG mags or STANAG mags without issues, but I guess that's too muc
  4. TerranCmdr - sorry, mate, no real clue. I suspect the trigger is the loop on the right side near the triggerguard, but that's just because that's where I'd put it. Has anyone actually considered contacting Steyr themselves about this and similar issues? Maybe you could get some more decent images, if nothing else? I'd love to be able to give actual working diagrams to Doc or someone else with access to the kind of equipment to make up some airsoft-accessable copies...
  5. Bullpup is the way forward, no two ways about it.
  6. Tavor with real steel lower RIS rail. (Click for larger image or click here for freakin' huge image)
  7. Doc hasn't finished the mag adaptor yet, I'm reluctant to ask him for more things. Sooner or later I'm going to have to pay him, too.... Just thought I'd mention it, having remembered you made something similar before.
  8. Treadhead - with reference to the pics you posted a few months ago, could you knock up a custom piece of under-mounted RIS like the one shown on this AUG A3? What about this one, as seen on the AUG 9mm A3 XS? Then I just need to figure out how to make a correct A3 style receiver, but I've seen a few pictures in this thread which look pretty accurate. Of course, I'm still no closer to the AUG A3 SF...
  9. I guess you could ASK one of them?
  10. Rail-mounted sling loop?
  11. And how is it any different from the way it is now? - front line units have optical sights, everyone else has to make do with iron sights. Replacing SUSATs with Elcans or ACOGs or whatever and then replacing the iron sights with SUSATs would just make an improvement to the weapons of people already using iron sights. I'm fairly sure that out on Ops in Afghan, everyone has an optical sight.
  12. Fair enough, I guess. Although, personally, I'd stick with the ACOG since that's what some people are already using. You don't really need different sights in use together, and you really want to replace the expensive UOR sights you only just got with new ones that are probably no real improvement. Then give all the SUSATs to "second line" units and junk as many iron sights as possible. Everyone should have an optical sight. For example, I know first hand from a very reliable source working in procurement for the Dutch Armed Forces, that every man or woman in their forces is gettin
  13. And are the MoD *really* going to change the "optics only for the infantry" policy and spend bucket loads of cash replacing iron sights throughout the tri-service community? Somehow, I can't see it.
  14. Yeah, but having BOUGHT them, why replace them now?
  15. Each to their own, I guess.
  16. And how is that scope an improvement over the ACOG that's currently being used? It certainly looks even more of an eyesore than the SUSAT....
  17. My new System 7 USP Tacticals: (Click for larger image) Since no-one seems to make the USP Tactical except in black, I had a bit of messing around to do to get the green ones. Once I got into it, though, it wasn't that hard.
  18. Is it possible to get spare mags with the "tactical" bottom on them, or to get the bottoms separately? I'm assuming that the USP Tactical uses the same mags as the standard full-size USP. I believe that the USP Match uses different mags. Also, what is the best silencer for the USP Tactical? I've seen a HK branded silencer in a couple of pics, but it's got 9mm markings on it, so that's no good.
  19. It has to be said - if I wanted an SA80, I'd want one that looks like that. Great case, too.
  20. [acronym='title']displayed text[/acronym] This code works: displayed text Thanks for your efforts, Arnie.
  21. Can't hurt. And anything that gets me closer to getting an airsoft AUG A3-SF is great.
  22. Yes, but the real steel AUG A3 is a hideous eyesore. The AUG A3-SF, however, is beautiful, so I'd love to see an airsoft version of that. What's the incentive for real-steel arms companies to get in bed with airsoft manufacturers, though?
  23. It's always a good idea to have a passing appreciation of the forum rules.
