  1. Hi PureSilver, It just passed through my swetty hands briefly, so I hadn't got too long to form a proper opinion. But the magazine does look terrible on the G19, and it didn't shoot as well as the CNC version of the SA Glock 17 with the same CO2 magazine, I think you can forget about Green Gas anyhow.
  2. I was hoping NonEx could do one of his in-depth reviews for the SA Premium Glock 17, but unfortunately his seems to have got delayed by customs. Hopefully all will be sorted out, as I can understand the kind of stress these things cause, and not knowing what happens next doesn't help matters. So here are a few shots to keep you going until then. Anyhow its a very fateful reproduction of a Glock 19, weighing in at 831g which is close enough to the real-steel fully loaded 850g. For the slide finishing, they tried to replicate the Teflon/Tenifer coated finish, which was never going to be e
  3. The SA Premium G19 weighs 831g, so It's not too far off the real steel fully loaded weight of 850g. Having fired both steel-slide and CNC'd version of the Glock 17 with CO2, the CNC Glock 17 which comes complete with steel barrel is more favourable for skirmishing using CO2.
  4. That doesn't sound quite right as the model I tested had no problems at all with the slide returning to battery, it had a metal recoil-rod with dual reinforced springs, check to see did they mistakenly use a plastic stock recoil-rod, also check it without the magazine inserted to see how it functions ? Hopefully it's just a teething problem, I know the slide can be extremely difficult to get back on, so maybe this suggests issues with how the recoil-rod is seated.
  5. Hi Aitch, I have a pair of Chip McCormick 1911 Rosewood Grips that would suit your CDP Pikey PM me if your interested.
  6. Hi Icolator, There wasn't much space left to squeeze the Nova LAPD SWAT in to the photo, but its the on the previous page in post #3945 with the Surefire-type light. I know there are a few people here who would love to have a Kimber Ultra Covert including myself
  7. My last in a series of Kimber shots, this time featuring a Kimber Warrior, Kimber Raptor II & Kimber ICQB (Marsoc) [w. applied battle-damage]
  8. A change of size now, with some of the smaller Kimber Ultra-Size guns. Kimber Ultra CDP II, Kimber Ultra RCP II & Kimber SIS Ultra. Prime/WA.
  9. It comes with enhanced metal guide rod and springs, so that covers the basics anyway.
  10. I managed to do a quick shooting comparison between the VFC and WE M&Ps, there wasn't a whole lot in the difference. The temperatures weren't ideal for chrono'ing a pistol accurately. But with .20g Excel BBs at average room temperature of 14oC the WE seemed a tiny bit more powerful at 285-300fps, the VFC was very close behind at 275-290fps with a snappier trigger pull and slightly more accurate groupings, but very little between them. Where the WE was slightly more powerful, the VFC had more accuracy and mags lasted that bit longer. But a more in-depth analysis would have to be done a
  11. Pictured here are the remaining 3 Hurricane Kimber conversion kits, the other one being the Kimber SIS pictured a few posts back. These are good value for money kits that are worth having a look at if your a beginner getting into building your first custom kit. They are relatively cheap and include most of the needed parts. Kimber Desert Warrior, Kimber Tactical Entry II & Kimber Custom Covert II. [Hurricane] Cerakoted MSH and Grip-Safety, except on the middle 'Desert Warrior' which has a Hurricane Grip-Safety and non Cerakoted MSH.
  12. As I already mentioned on the top of the thread, this is NOT an in-depth review, just a quick photo-comparison as I haven't got the time to do a complete review. CKinnerley was good enough to do a Video Review, so I suggest you check that out for further information. There is an iPhone App you might be able to use instead of the photograph, it would be a tiny bit more effective But still won't take out the enemy, or even mildly scare them come to think of it. If I get a chance later I will Chrono the three of them, VFC M&P, VFC M&Pc and WE M&P.
  13. And I'm really looking forward to seeing some photos of it here with your RS, for comparison of course
  14. The last photo in my Glock 19 photos on the Glock picture thread, shows the three different SA/VFC finishes. From the right the standard SA G19, in the middle the CNC'd SA G17 and on the left the steel-slide SA G19.
  15. Hi Puresilver, I was just looking at a friends pair of KSC Beretta 8000 series last night, quite different to the Western Arms M8045 as seen in the above photo in Carbon Finish. Prime did release a Limited Edition metal-kit for WA a few years back. They definitely are underrated.
  16. Brilliant minds think alike OHMSS springs to mind immediately, well I suppose if your going to have a Swiss Chateau hideout in the late 60's, it must be P210. And Michael Caine in 'Get Carter' is being rereleased on Blu-ray later this month, the P210 was his weapon of choice , I don't know how the movie has aged since its years since I saw it last.
  17. And some more of their friends
  18. Sig Sauer - The gun that got me back into Guns
  19. Those stylish Italians with their beautiful Berettas
  20. Hey Icolator, I think everyone reading any thread on Arnies is broke It's part and parcel of the pastime, counting pennies that is I was delighted when the new Nova releases were pushed back, more time to save. I think the Western Arms last edition of the Kimber Desert Warrior was the only release that had the Carry Melt finish, but was ABS only but looked better than my Hurricane in photos. Cheers.
  21. Thanks for that information Planeman Here are the weights of the Airsoft frames without magazine : VFC/Cybergun - 182g. WE/HK3P - 231g. I'd prefer if the VFC frame had more weight, but all their Airsoft frames are very light. You can actually hear a hollow sound when inserting the magazine into the VFC compared to the smoother WE. I suppose the extra weight on the WE Airsoft version is good to have as an alternative if making a custom build on a fully functioning pistol, as they have their new quality control stickers as the weight on the RS with a fully-loaded 17 round ma
  22. Hey Quicksilver, Thanks for the compliment, but you don't have to worry about following any of my photos. It wasn't that long ago I was drooling looking at your HK USPc & Sig P226 photos, I think at one stage I had convinced myself you actually were Jack Bauer I look forward to seeing all photos by anyone on the threads, I always considered Arnies to be the number one stop for Airsoft Photos, so the more the merrier.
  23. Can either of you Real-Steal guys weigh the M&P frame without magazine if possible ? I'm just trying to get an idea if much weight is lost in the VFC frame compared to the RS, as the VFC/SA Glock 19 frame was 195g without magazine. Cheers.
  24. Hi Icolator, It will be a while before I can get a quality shot of the two of them together as a screensaver, as the light has been so bad. But I tried anyway, here are a couple of LAPD guns the SWAT and Special Investigation Section 1911's, and of course the Kimber CDP II and LAPD SWAT to keep you going.
  25. A Glock 19 line-up Only three of these belong to me, if that's not enough You can try and figure out what's-what yourself ? but no going beyond the first photo as the serial numbers give it away. test yourself anyway
