  1. Thanks. Its a Patriot Ordinance Factory Predator Rail (bolded the company name so it didnt run together). Both the AEG on top and bottom are sporting one of the series - The P12X and P9X respectively. I chose the Predator series because the inner diameter is designed to house a piston gas system which means it's larger than most other AR15 rails... Just large enough to house a nun-chuk battery. The P12X will run you $285 and the P9X will be around $245 straight from the manufacturer. I do not know of any retailers that have them in stock since POF is working quickly to fill orders on their rif
  2. All your page 40.... Building a POF SBR for a buddy. CTR and 10.5" barrel should be here by week's end. By battle rifle needed a smaller counterpart anyhow After this: CQC M4 with 7" POF rail. Hehe.
  3. Absolutely. I dunno if you have the parts, but an SL8 top rail with an EOtech 553 and some folding BUIS might be real slick. Top it off with a KAC or Tango Down (or clone) vertical fore grip A black flash suppressor would go a long ways as well. I'd sure like to see how that combo works out if possible.
  4. Hmm. Braces and glasses seem to be more astetic than stocks... I believe that replacing a G36 stock with that of an Armalite is more like changing the legs of your friend with those of a horse. That might be a bit harder to get used to!
  5. From a design standpoint, youre crossing two totally different animals. Magpul stuff (the PRS and M93B and PMAG, in your case) is utilitarian and scaled (designed) for the likes of an M4. In that sense, the Magpul stuff makes the M4 look more rugged without changing the proportions of the rifle. The G36, however, is more of a sleek (almost sci-fi) looking firearm.... The bulkiness of both stocks (and their size compared to the G36) just doesnt mix. It's kinda like putting a Porsche's whale-tail wing on a Lamborghini Murcielago... Functionally, both are great assets; visually, they just d
  6. Had a few photos laying around my hard drive. A two are pretty old but haven't seen the light of the internet yet. Cheers.
  7. Those PMAGs seem to make anything sexy now. But one in a barrel-less GR16 and wanted to use just that! Are those the mid-caps? If so, how well do you like them?
  8. Sorry for this, but I can't edit posts in this topic. I dont know if its something the admin set or if its just a problem on my end, but I need to fix the links. Cheers.
  9. Sorry... I only have four GR16's. They work fine in all of em. One thing I'll recommend is the use of Breakfree CLP... Its the best lubricant that I've ever used and now it goes in and on all my real steel and airsoft firearms. I shot some of that into the magazines before I even played with em so that could be the difference.
  10. Thanks for the kind words so far! Digging through my email I found the email quote from WGC: GP-FL-507A G&P 12R Rechargeable Flashlight @ $70.50 GP-ACC-658 G&P A.I. Pressure Switch @ $26.00 Came with the light, a tail switch, tape switch ($26), 3 rechargable batteries, and a charger. Here is the installation: As for how it compares... I'll answer that with photos. The Surefire M4 Devastator (MSRP $350 with 350 Lumen lamp) is on the right with the G&P 12R ($70 with 325 lumen lamp) on the left. Both are using Surefire C123 batteries. Both set
  11. I'll add a +1 to Brownells too. Damn good service, almost unmatched. Well, finally got something smaller to replace my Surefure M4D and got that all wrapped up in a Vltor package. STAR pmags came in too... they're significantly better than the STAR usgi magazines. Hell, I'll end up using them over my metal magazines too. Its all set up for some woodland combat this week using an M120. The supressor is excessively heavy though so I doubt I'll be toting that for too long without the bipod. Dressed up for dancing: And by 'dancing' I mean shooting opponents from as far a
  12. You got night vision to use it? IR lasers and lights are and bad at the same time; you need night vision to see the light.
  13. Yessir. Listed on Glock's official site, the GTL has three different combos with dimming dimming variants. The GTL10/11 is a single lamp. The GTL21/22 (I have the 21) is the combo lamp and red visible laser. The GTL 51/52 is Lamp, laser, IR lamp, and IR laser. The setup is great since it uses ambidexterous roll switches to turn the light/laser (or both) on and off. I believe I picked mine up for a mere $160 but the only listing on ebay has it at $255. Looks like it'd run you $225 on cheaper than dirt as well as some other similar retailers. Dayum, didnt expect this thing to appreciate so much
  14. Finally finished restoring this from its crappy state. KWA Glock G19 -Glock GTL21 -Replica G19 Slide -Dytac Night Sights
  15. I believe there is a strict import/export law against shipping many items, in this case collapsable stocks, to international locations. I believe it includes any stock that has adjustments of any kind (even the magpul PRS and CAA SRS). In addition, only a few Magpul UBRs are in curculation. It seems that anyone who does not want to keep theres sells it for more than what it retails far - all due to demand. I paid $240 for mine (awesome deal, had to jump on it) but I frequently see $260-$300 now. Don't forget you'll also need an AEG Receiver Extension (I have the Magpul PTS Stock Adaptor)
  16. Haha yeah. I won't call it done til its pretty damn unique. With all the armalites out there, it could be tough so it'll require more than just $$$. The UBR needed a custom receiver extension ala Dremel, that was no fun. Working with three companies, one of which is in the real steel industry, helps Actually... This is my third 'gun.' I use the term loosely to say that I got a real pump shotgun and a real AR15 before I got my AEG. So I already have many real parts. Its just a case of getting this AEG configured correctly.
  17. Beautiful work! Mind showing me how you got your battery to fit there? I'm trying to decide upon a lipo in the receiver extension of another POF rail for my SBR build. Thanks! I'm ditching the ACOG tomorrow so I decided to get some photos of it before hand. Again, Im not a fan of how it operates but it is absolutely gorgeous. Cheers.
  18. My first impressions have me wanting to put the PRS back on instead. However, the UBR really collapses to a very small length which may be excellent for the purpose. It's very solid and not as heavy as it looks. Fully extended its about the length of the PRS minus all the fine adjustments. Part of my issue may be that I have a higher top rail due to the POF Predator which the PRS could compensate for perfectly. Note that with the UBR, you will need to get your hands dirty and modifiy parts with saws, a welder/glue among things. I took a PTS A2 extension and cut it to carbine length and that se
  19. Went haywire with the Dremel. Yeah. I like my $70 EOTech 551 knockoff better than the $1,400 ACOG TA31. Cheers. Nice looking Magpul gear a few posts up The CTR is the only Magpul item Im missing, but that won't be the case when I get around to building my SBR.
  20. @Luv2shoot - How do you like the KX3? Was thinkin about using one of those on an SBR AEG but heavn't heard any opinions on 'em. Finally got my 20 round replica. Sure aids in using a bipod. Hopefully Ill be able to laern to use the Magpul rangers properly outside of tacking paper. Otherwise they're just dead weight on the AR. Cheers.
  21. Rangers are nice with real steel, figured I best learn how to use them in skirmishes. They go well with the new 20 round replica from CA too. Fantastic little buggers. @luvs2shoot - Fantastic setup there. I'm looking forward to doing an SBR - How do you like the KX3?
  22. Put about $110 into the AEG aside from the 551 knockoff, mostly just things that are AEG exclusive. This includes the $14 rail guards (Like Im going to pay $50 for american rubber), a $35 licenced PTS MIAD, a $40 licenced Gemtech G5 and flash suppressor, and a $30 A2 receiver extension for the real PTS. Everything else is real steel that I had laying around. $300 rail, $250 stock, $240 for the BUIS pair, $150 uni-max and $120 Harris Bipod doesnt do much good in a shoe box. I woulndt have boght a PTS MIAD if the AEG could use my real one, either. That said, a real eotech and magnifier are on th
