  1. Brazed valve, adjustable hop up, K2 custom 6.03 barrel, steel buffer screw.
  2. Confirmed the Serial Number was 538 on my brass-valved (now sold) carbine. To tide me over til the MP5 rubbers get here, my SP16 rubbers arrived yesterday for my XM177 (after 10 months waiting for the first one, I paid for/ordered a second, then Andrew kindly threw in a third for my trouble). The XM177 is a different gun with an undamaged hop up rubber installed. Range is easily 150-180 feet. Full Auto is a dream. If only the rate of fire were consistent with that of the MP5. Can't have it all I guess. Lucky me I had my gunsmith friend mill/lathe a K2 6.03 tightbore for me out
  3. I'm not really grinding my teeth, I just want to play with my new toy. They'll get here when they get here...hopefully in short order.
  4. I had a Carbine with a brass valve (which promptly broke and had to be resoldered). Later serial number, 538 iirc and was new when I acquired it. Escort MP5 guts are laid out much differently than those of the SP16s. See the photos in the original post. No 'hood' that requires brazing. Paul told me last week he was going to be shipping them out soon. They'll likely go to Andrew here in the States then be distributed that way. Guess I'll wait. *grind teeth*
  5. Not nearly as much as I'm eagerly awaiting my replacement hop rubbers. Unfortunately I ordered em with the gun kit and they didn't make it into the carton. Naturally if they HAD been in the box, I wouldn't have torn the one I tore. Figures.
  6. Nope, still waiting for Paul to ship my replacements.
  7. Turlock, eh? I'm in Fresno. 47/3000 would easily get you 1000 shots.
  8. 10 shots over my F1 Chrony at 130 PSI with .20g Marui BBs at 90 degrees Fahrenheit gave 343 fps +/- 1 fps.
  9. Nice write up and photos. Got a photo of the reticle itself? Is it a simple projected red dot a la the aimpoint or is it a true holographic sight? Edited - you included price, I didn't see it.
  10. Oops. I fail at recognizing geographic locations.
  11. AEG front end furniture fits with minor - and I do mean MINOR - dremelling/filing. I had my dremel on for about 30 seconds total to sand down two tabs found at the rear of the G&P flashlight foregrip. Real steel stocks can also be made to fit with some modification. How much exactly I'm about to find out - I've got an A2 stock on its way. As for the rest of the aftermarket parts, what else would you be interested in? A tightbore? Doable with a lathe/mill, but not necessary according to many reports. The Guarder low mount will fit the upper receiver without modification if yo
  12. No, it uses a proprietary, purpose-built hop up set. Inner barrel is 10mm od like the Sun Project/PTW type guns. I used my digital dial caliper on the bore and came up with 6.05-6.06mm.
  13. Haven't seen a photo-based review/guide/how-to on this gun, so I figured I'd put one together. If you spot any factual or technical errors, please email me at dmlincoln@@@gmail...com (one @, one .) and I'll correct them. Those of you who know me can attest to the fact that I'm a sucker for blowback gas long guns. Last year I owned a Sun Projects M16A1 Carbine into which I poured a great big chunk of time (both mine and Mike's), stomach acid and money. I never did get it to shoot like I thought it was capable and I finally sold it to another Classic gun enthusiast over at Alameda Airsof
  14. The left side of the receiver has two or three inch-long scratches down to the bare metal from the weapon's banging against magazine baseplates at a CQB game. Didn't feel compelled to display that side quite yet. The optics and rail were bought new and installed a week ago and day before yesterday, respectively, hence the absence of wear. Thanks Isaac.
  15. take the follower out, replace pins with the new/old/new roll-pin one piece, done. I'm one of those guys that is happy with his PTW, but my joy is mainly derived from the range (ridiculous velocity with the red cylinder and a one-off tightbore) and accuracy. Stock barrel might as well have been a Coke can for all the precision it offered. Pics next week when the rail shows up.
  16. I think the loose translation from the Canadian vernacular for 'next week' is 'whenever we damned well please.' Nonetheless, I will keep my fingers crossed and hope that your belt ships...along with everyone else's.
  17. Posted an earlier iteration of this gun in the acquisitions thread awhile back. Now it's just about done: Sun Projects SP16A1/M653 - Model1 handguards, Hogue overmolded pistol grip, G&P LE stock. Internally it's had the works done to it and it's finally ready to be fielded (been putzing with it on and off since May).
  18. Nothing funny about playing a game in an EPC with cummerbund and a BDU blouse in 105+ temps. I'll take comfort, tyvm.
  19. That was why I asked about how magsz had paid, and that was why I believe my belt shipped finally, by blustering and threatening to open a dispute.
  20. Just spent 15 mins going through my gmail box and couldn't find that email address. Sorry bout that.
  21. if you can't reach him by telephone, I think I recall seeing that he is a forum member at airsoftcanada. Might be able to stir up a response over there.
  22. rofl, not at your plight, but rather the well-written rant. Sorry you have gotten the same treatment as I did, albeit much more drawn out. Hang in there. Did you pay with paypal?
  23. ICE make several sizes, see the web link for more details. Mine is an XL, my waist is 34-35" and there is about 1-1.5" of space between the ends when I have the belt on.
