  1. Update: The Gen2 gunsmod triggers that has a working safety has been reported to have better QC in terms of packing all the bits and bobs into the package. This information came from my casual conversation with Richard Chan from Alpha Airsoft (still operates under Wargame Outlet online but I believe he's changing it soon) and he had like 4-5 packs of the triggers in his store when I met with him. Also, I looked at the slide of my friend's HK3P Glock 17 and he's gamed it quite a bit and is used roughly. The thin anodization rubs/scratches off like a scratched up PGC 1911 kit but at a
  2. Hey, thanks for the reply! Actually I'm not entirely sure whether it's anodized as it feels rough on the surface, kinda like...######, I dunno how to describe it ><; But it feels like a very rough chalkboard....I guess that's how you can put it. I'll try to put very slight smudges of acetone first, so to minimise any damage the acetone might cause ><; Thanks for the advice regardless!
  3. Hey guys, quick question here for those who's got both the M4 and SCAR. I've got a SCAR myself and played with the idea of getting an M4, but lacking funds at the moment I'll stick with upgrading the SCAR for now. One thing I have an annoyance with is the nozzle on the SCAR doesn't look anything like the bolt on the SCAR, whereas the M4's nozzle does. Does anyone know whether it's possible to use the M4 nozzle in the SCAR? If so, I'd like to get the M4 metal nozzle and run it in my SCAR so that it looks more like a real bolt assembly. I assume that given the 'bolt lugs' on the M4 nozzl
  4. God Dammit Noveske, why do you always have such awesome guns But yes, it's what I was talking about Bar the trades on the Avalon the shape of the silencer should be the same as the OEM H&K one I have one of those Rotex III's myself, awaiting to be fitted to my high speed 416 build Problem is I need to find a way to remove a bit of paint that scratched off a locker onto the suppressor when I accidentally smacked the tube against the locker Was thinking of using acetone (nail polish) but not too sure whether it'll damage the original finish as well. Thoughts' on how to remove a
  5. My Chinese comprehension is ###### I guess I'll ask Archer to help me keep a lookout then There's no shops in HK that sell Streamlight TLR-1's right? Also, thanks for the feedback with the zero hammer I guess it's not worth it if it's only smoother on the slide return than the slide movement when it first cycles since that's the main problem with the gas efficiency...the slide return doesn't really matter in my experience. Oh also note that those with Airsoft Surgeon's nozzle and planning to run the AIP lightweight BBU the o-rings included with the AIP BBU are 1mm too thin in di
  6. Hey Noveske nice Glock I just want to ask where'd you get the streamlight? Locally in Hong Kong? I wanted to get the Streamlight TLR-1S (the one that can strobe) but I can't seem to find it in SupremeCo Also, in regards to the zero hammer, is there a noticable improvement on the slide movement? I find that there's a way to modify the BBU to have a smoother slide cycle and I've got an IPSC friend that tells me of all the gunsmodify zero hammer's he's heard of installing, they don't seem to provide a significant improvement to the slide cycle. This was echoed by I think Illusion on
  7. The purpose is to hold the catch down until the mag pushes it up Since you won't be firing your gun upside down take a few shots with your Glock and see if the slide catch shifts upwards from the recoil. If it doesn't then it should be okay, bar any other events during a skirmish that can push the catch upwards.
  8. Thanks for the pics! Hmm well again it's the first PX4 I've heard to have failed in this manner. But mind I ask whether the hop up screws that were holding the 2 halves were tightened down? I would believe that unless the barrel was loose in the hop up to allow it to move slightly due to the recoil every time you shoot it the nubs shouldn't break. The metal used for the hop up is really the same as the TM I would believe so if TMs generally don't fail (bar the 5-7, but it shears off the nubs that lock the outer barrel in place I believe) like that I'd say your hop up might've been loose as
  9. Hm I realised I haven't updated this for a long time, so since I just wrote something about the Glock though a PM I'll copy and paste it here: It seems my upgraded AS nozzle doesn't seal with the mag gasket at all. I tested it by colouring the top of the gasket with some blue marker pen and inserted the mag, then racked the slide. Disassembled the slide afterwards and there weren't any blue colouring on the clear AS nozzle. I had to test this because I am running 3 SAPH buffers + 200% SAPH Glock recoil spring (since I want the slide return to be as fast as possible) and it's not locking
  10. Right nevermind, I'll keep quiet as I seem to have misinterpreted something Thanks for the compliments btw XD
  11. Did my previous post convey something else? I merely just asked whether other shops give you sales talk about their products since I find that most HK shops don't bother to say anything outside of what the product box already say. Anyway thanks for the compliments!
  12. Hmm you mean at ACMGear? I thought retailers mostly give no information at all or just those that they can gather from the box itself. What did ACMGear or whatever retailer you mentioned answered you when you asked them questions? I'm just curious Also, there's retailers that give you ###### about products? O_o In Hong Kong only the really small shops (that tend to do local business) MIGHT give you some ###### since they don't get as much sales as those with the international orders but otherwise all the established ships hardly tell customers anything as far as I can tell (like WGC,
  13. I wouldn't put no bias in my review anyway; I stand to gain no profit from it I basically found the best cost to performance pistol in airsoft right now and I'd like the members here on Arnies to know that so that they can make a more informed purchase. This forum's helped me a lot with my own purchases and I'd like to give something back in return I don't think racking the slide with the safety engaged is confirmed to break the pistol as it's only my suspicion but all the so called gen2 PX4s don't return to battery if you do rack the slide with the safety on. Of course I never tried
  14. Sorry, forgot who was the one who asked about replacement mag gaskets but there's finally an aftermarket part available. http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=32400 I guess if you've damaged yours or lost it you can get that as a replacement. If their market blurb is correct you'll get a performance boost too
  15. I thought I'd update with another upgrade part on the market http://www.uncompany.com/pageproductdetails.asp?prodid=32400 I dunno if the SD gaskets for the Glocks did any good for the Glock crowd but if they did I guess those willing to spend cash to milk every bit of performance from the gun can consider getting those for their mags
  16. Ah that's okay If you're willing to take it apart in the future and nobody's reported back the info I asked I hope you'll update us with the info on the hop
  17. I would think that since WE's G17 most likely came from the same factory as the HK3P one, I'd say everything's the same bar the trades. Notice there's not HK3P G17 mags either; you can only get WE mags for them. Plastic's feel more 'brittle' than the plastic used on the HK3PX4 and the KSC Glock I've experienced but it's not that bad. The hop up issues...well I've never noticed it since I immediately swapped out the barrel and hop for a modify bucking and TK twist but it looks like some standard ACM brass barrel as opposed to the HK3PX4 which has a silver inner barrel. I think the
  18. Can you please check whether they've used the new spring leaf design for their hop up like the new KSC m4s and the STI? Would be interesting to see if any of the new KWA pistols already adopt the new hop up design that's supposed to be miles better than the old ball bearing one Thanks!
  19. Hmmm so there's a chance they went a step in the wrong direction with this one... You've seen the previous vid right? Does the ppt diagram look anything like the WA NPAS? To me it does but I've never held one before so I wouldn't know ><;
  20. From what I can tell it seems like they redesigned the whole nozzle system with the Alu nozzle? If they stuck with the original WE design you can always fit a weaker floating valve spring to lower the fps beyond the range the NPAS valve works with the stock valve spring, but I'm not sure what exactly did RATECH do with the new design. They said it's modelled after the WA system, can anyone chime in on how the valve mech should look like? It's not very clear from his ppt.
  21. Regarding the threaded extension, can't you get the piece to a lathe and just widen the inside of the adapter (It's binding up because the outer barrel can't tilt against the inner right?)? Or would that make it too thin and therefore being a (I assume) pot metal part it'll break? If you still want to use the loner inner barrel you can always dump money on the Lonewolf threaded barrel that Detonator makes (both in silver and black). Comes with a thread protector too, but pricey . As for the Vickers mag bases, I simply just want them to allow me to drop my mags base plate down and to not
  22. The KSC Glock's been out for ages and nobody's making reinforced parts for them, I doubt any company's gonna make them in the future. Which is funny btw, for the G18C at least. I haven't heard sears failing on the semi-autos but the G18C (and I suppose the 23F) sears wear easily due to it's operation. I would've betted on some reinforced parts when the FPG came out (as it generates sales for the KSC G18C therefore there would be more future demand for reinforced parts when the G18C internals inevitably wear down quickly) but so far no one's making them in my knowledge.
  23. ^ that and maybe switching every load bearing part out with Lonex equivalents (I assume the M4 gears work with the SCARs?), change the motor to something torque-y like the Lonex A1 or I think A3 and run a FET in the future (AWS's coming out with next gen FETs soon) and a 11.1v lipo in the stock. Also run a hard bucking with R-Hop installed (or ER if possible) and you should have an accurate SCAR-H EBB out to 300 feet shooting 0.3g or higher
  24. HAHA Rotexbros I'm having trouble fitting the flash-hider to my CA416 (it was my first AEG, forgive the fact that I own a CA gun D:). Seems like the first 10" of the barrel's threading's a bit 'long'; I think I needa get the VFC barrel shroud extension thingy to fit my Avalon flash-hider perfectly to the barrel in order for me to mount the Rotex. Oh yeah the Avalon Rotex suppressor feels like sex
