  1. Just about all airsoft AKs are "TM compatible," depending on what exactly you mean by that. The best ones are generally clones of the VFC design. If you're just starting into AKs, it's hard to beat a Cyma.
  2. Honestly all of those sound like pretty terrible choices, but I guess it depends on what you're trying to do.
  3. Ah, well then you will probably not see me there! I will be hiding in the dark Russian night, observing all treacherous western invaders and preparing to put them in the graves I just dug.
  4. Most definitely. Going up there tonight, in fact, to build fieldworks.
  5. Always glad to see a fellow fan of the Partizan-M.
  6. The big reasons to go with repros over the original is that it's really stupid difficult to find actual ZenitCo items anywhere that will actually ship internationally without massive markup. Russian Thunder's prices are stupid, as are Legion USA's. If you actually just want a product without big headaches, the TWI/Asura stuff is ready to go. That said there are still plenty of items that repros don't exist for that I wouldn't mind having.
  7. Plastic? Doesn't sound good. But I guess $10 is $10. TWI makes a nice one of aluminum, but that's $70.
  8. I'm not supposed to tell anyone this, but I've been following the trail of "President" B. Hussein Obama's birth certificate for years. Operatives of the illegitimate government oppose us at every turn in the ultimate shadow war. Only TRUE PATRIOTS can oh whatever I quit
  9. Haha, you're not the first person to ask that. It's a mic in this instance, but I've done both...
  10. Needs more extendos, RC. Here, I turned my LCT AIMS into an LCT MPi-KMS-72 and then operated it with a broken hand.
  11. Hot tip: all of the guys in that photo HAVE folding stocks. They aren't using them, because folding stocks are pretty much a bad idea in any actual shooting situation. Short-stocking is always going to be faster, and afford you more options, that folding or unfolding a stock.
  12. Yes, I had a real AKMS for a while. It's not a good stock design.
  13. Wait, so the bungee isn't even for retention? It's just for grip? "Noise signature"? Iunno. Anyway, no, wasn't aware – I've basically checked out of the latest and greatest in terms of tactical and AR bobbins.
  14. I'm pretty sure I heard a rumor that lct is bringing one "soon."
  15. Nice. Is that top one just a clever way to store a bunch of paracord? Presumably not RS-friendly.
  16. Yep, G&P (as are almost all of my ARs). Don't remember who made the rails but not RS.
  17. Nice piece of work there. That feed channel looks like jam city, though!
  18. I don't post in here much anymore since mostly dealing with AKs these days, but... here's my fairly straightforward M4.
  19. New camera = new photoshoot. LCT AIMS (now mostly converted to an MPi-KMS 72) CYMA AK105 (complete with CYMA™ Missing Rear Sight®) ICS Galil Not pictured: my new E&L AK74MN. I can say definitively that in terms of overall feel and confidence that the E&L is better than the LCT. It's heavier and feels sturdier. I hear that the LCTs have somewhat better internals. But either is a good choice and I don't think you'd regret them. You might regret an AKS-74U, though.
  20. MSW and East Wind are the only events I've experienced that fit that bill, but either of those makes most games that call themselves "milsim" sound like a joke. But, this year will be the last East Wind. Of course, at EW you might go several days without shooting anything, but I personally have always found it incredibly satisfying, if sometimes painful.
  21. I did that once. Never again. Flying is the better option. And honestly I think most of the people I'm talking to would consider AMS at the lower speedball limit of what milsim is. There's growing support for it, at least here in SoCal, but the property values are so high and everything is so developed that it is very very difficult to find locations.
  22. How was this? I hear mostly a lot of sad comments from NorCal people about how sorry the state of milsim is up there, and how far they are willing to travel to experience something cool.
  23. Thanks, I agree! And it's actually fairly helpful for spotting and (sort of) rangefinding, at least. Very clear optic. That looks like a good game, frogfish. I don't do any Vietnam stuff but it looks like a cool environment.
  24. It's both! Or, rather, it's an RPG scope on my AIMS, and vice versa.
