I haven't got the slightest clue how the original owner did it (I'm like the third or fourth owner of it). However the guy did a pretty good job with it. I would assume he put his headset up to the side of the helmet, traced it out with a sharpie and just cut along the line. He did a pretty damn good job though.

Meh, I don't know. I'm really keeping it as my greenside bucket to be worn with my SDS RACK, but we'll see.
