Dont worry I just keep the bolt open when the rifle is unloaded. Loaded, its round chambered, safety on. But still, the bolt release is pretty stiff on his XM. You really have to give it a good wack. Of course he never lubes the damn thing. He's had it for like 20 years and I've never seen him clean or lube it. Even though its just been used to shoot beer cans for its whole life I still think its funny because of what everyone thinks they know about the AR and its reliability. Then again its never had those *suitcasey* US military cartridges go through it.

You can't turn the safety on my friend's XM177 without a charged round in it. It makes me uneasy a lot of the time and it isnt the only firearm that works like this. Always treat a weapon like it has a live round in it and it will shoot as soon as you pull the trigger, no mater what. Usually what I do is pull the bolt back on the rifle so it sticks out all the way (you can lock it open on the real thing, and press the tab on the left side of the receiver to release it). Easier than cocking the rifle every time you pick it up to see if their is a round chambered.

I have used one of my EOTechs before on a friend's flat top AR and I can see where you are coming from. It does like to loosen itself after some rounds through whatever it is on. I couldnt see it falling off completely, but a loose sight is not a very effective one is it.

TMC is in the EOTech club now! unimatrix, you probably heard they got lose from some real-steel reports. With airsoft your gun will fall off the EOTech before the EOTech falls off your gun The thumb screw worked great for me. I just use the hex one cause it looks cooler and I never move the sight around at all. I know they have a QD mount for it too which uses like a throw lever type thing: Id get one if I actually had a use for it.

I figured they would look worse, but they aren't that bad. Does anyone know the story behind the Tanaka / JT SAA and why you can only get them at JT?

I find that curves works better. It takes some practice though. Smudge doesn't look so great if you ask me. I always use a combination of copy/paste, stamp tool, and patch tool. Bit more work though

Good idea. I was really curious as to see how that would look, and this is what I came up with: Robby if I can find some good pictures of a Harris bipod and an M82 flash suppressor I'll give it a go. That sounds like it would look pretty cool to. EDIT w/bipod

Its not so much the lighting as it is the black gun on black background that is giving you problems. With the same lighting and a lighter background, you would probably see some pretty nice results.

I had a thing for the smaller magazines they just looked better to me But that was a different picture you mentioned. Same set-up and all, but I took it with a different camera like a year ago. This one is only a few weeks old. Leica lenses make for very characteristic pictures. too bad film is so expensive to develop and scan these days otherwise Id have more up.

IBD Products sling? Do you think you could let us know the differences between the real P90 and the airsoft one cause I've always been a freak about making mine as real looking as possible. I remember seeing one at the Shot Show but the only difference I could tell was the texture of the polymer and that the receiver looks more like it is cast (didnt get close enough to it).

Real, not mine wonder when we'll see M4 stocks for the airsoft Sigs.

Probably because it covers the whole rail on the TR. I almost got one for that reason but the 551 was cheaper and its look grew on me. I didn't plan on jumping out of any helicopters with mine so I guess the 551 was a better choice in my case.

552 is ugly to me. Dont ask why but I just never liked the way they look. Mine never ran out of batteries for like 7 months of use so it defiantly was good enough for me. No reason really. Next time I get a P90Tr I want to put an ARMS 19 mount on the eotech just because they make it easier to take on and off. It would probably be a little high but not too bad.

Mine was better All it needed was a Surefire and and ARMS mount for the EOTech.
