It all depends on what kind of gaming you are planning to do.

 

The M14 has good range and accuracy, however it is a little unwieldy for close quarters gaming.

 

G36 is still good, but possibly not as accurate as the M14. More adaptable though, and good enough for woodland or CQB.

 

If batteries are an issue, the M14 takes large packs, G36 takes mini, so you can put longer-life batteries in the M14.

 

At the end of the day, its down to what you like the look of most...and if you are planning to do a themed 'loadout', what would go best with it.
