Their are plenty of specilized paints out their, and hey news flash some firearms are painted. They can protect and lubricate the weapon. Their was an American member painted a WE 1911 to make a Hitman Style Hardballer a while back, look it up and try that paint. Or try plating (doesn't have to be polished and shiney), might not work very well on pot metal though. Gonna get my KG9 Hard Chrome Plated when I get round to it, it's made from steel though.
