Maximos
Hi guys. I removed the pin to the mag catch as I thought I would hit it with some Super Glue due to it being loose. Little did I know that the assembly involved a spring, which always complicates matters...I now have three pieces: the pin, the main metal piece, and the spring. I need some help getting it back on the right way. I was able to to fit it one way easily, but it wasn't the correct way. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Tom Andrews
It couldn't be easier...............The catch has the rounded face outwards, the spring laid in the frame first, then the catch pushed in to hold it, then the securing pin slid into the holes. You may need to line up the various holes with a thin Philips crewdriver. But it only needs a little jiggling around.
Maximos
So, the pin goes through both the catch and the sprint?
chownsy
So, the pin goes through both the catch and the sprint? yes, but the spring needs tension on it to work, there usually really easy to fit, im going to replace mine with a nut and bolt later to stop it falling apart. hatchet_warrior
I just used superglue on it and it holds it enough, on my CYMA. My G&G somehow holds itself together.
Tom Andrews
Depends on the make of the AK, some have a spring around the spindle with legs at each end, some have a simpler arrangement with a small locating pin that holds the spring between the top rear of the catch and the body of the trigger guard.
