WhutJP
wow, thanks for posting this up guys, I was thinking of doing something similar with an MEU and nova kit and was curious about wether i would be able to use the stock beaver tail.
RacingManiac
that's what I did, i used a needle file and widened the slide stop hole ever so slightly. I did run into another issue though. The TM MEU Blowback chamber has a cutout on the top that a tab on the Novak sights slips into and holds the muzzle loader spring in place. This notch is not present on the regular 1911 blowback chamber. this becomes a problem because the spring is not securely held in and will jam after several shots. the Novak sights do not fit on the nova slide without some machining, and the nova sights that come with the nova slide do not have this tab to hold the spring in place. I'll try to take some pictures later, but for now there's no quick solution for that. Only things i can think of is cutting the tab off of the novak sights and supergluing it onto the slide or onto the blowback chamber somehow, but i'm not sure how durable that would be. JB weld is your friend...maybe try that?
davedawg123
I'm told a few strips of tape will also do the job.
