Sometimes, when not fired for a while, the first shot i fire is a double feed. Two bbs drop out of the barrel about 5m. then it's fine for a while. First shots count so i want this prob stopped! Docv400 Posted October 28, 2008 Report Share Posted October 28, 2008 When you say 'for a while', I take it you mean in-game during a lull in the action? you say it has a new hop unit, did you fit a new hop rubber as well? In semi, the nozzle will usually come to rest in the retracted position (i.e. fully back). If your hop rubber is worn, damaged or (as is more likely here, if it's a new one) has been stretch/deformed during fitting, it can allow two BBs to be fed into the hop, particularly when you're not firing for a while. It may be worn (or deformed) just enough to allow a double-feed when it's sat idle for a while but not during more constant use. Some tightbores can be very slightly larger on the outer diameter, which makes getting the barrel and hop rubber inserted in the hop unit, without stretching the rubber, all the more difficult.
