Agent47
Guarder / STAR M14 SOPMOD AEG The joint project development of the M14 SOPMOD AEG between Guarder and STAR has finally completed and this newly designed airsoft rifle is already available from retailers in Japan and Hong Kong. It will be interesting to see what the cooperation of Guarder and STAR has done to this airsoft rifle. This project is really the first of its kind in terms of two airsoft companies cooperating together. My guess it that Guarder did the main design and internal work while STAR manufacturered most of the asthetic components. Whether this partnership worked well will really depend on quality and reliability. Planet Airsoft What the heck...what's going on!?!
Antagon
PlanetAirsoft isn't exactly a quality site. And Guarder/STAR have worked together before, like with the GP25/
Screwschom
I just received a Hero Arms C-MAG today. (I swear this is a on-topic post), anyways on the side there are boxed that you check off for what gun it goes to, anyways I was suprised to see a box that can be checked off for " M14 SOPMOD" . Agent47
Something's up, Guarder's just removed the SOPMOD from their coming soon pages, but it hasn't shown up on new releases yet...what's going on?
oikoik
heh, might just be me.. but wouldnt it have been better to produce a kit for G3's? maybe even specifically G3A4's. yeah, i know the magwell is more forward on a M14, but especially concerning the motor's placement - half of the whole M14 deal was that they couldnt fit a motor into the design of the M14. The SOPMOD / EBR type M14's wouldve been out earlier and maybe better [with proven TM internals] than now. just my musings... if i had the opportunity to own one though.. hmmmm yeah.. ColSanders
If you look the gearbox also wouldn't fit right because of the design... so they had to design a whole new gearbox... Alex "Col Sanders"
HeuteGegangen
Thats nice, all we need now is an affordable M14...... What the heck is Marui up to?
FUmiYAsu
This wait is making me mad.... I really hope they don't come out as the suggested 1200US...
oikoik
If you look the gearbox also wouldn't fit right because of the design... so they had to design a whole new gearbox... Alex "Col Sanders" <{POST_SNAPBACK}> you missed my point - the idea or design behind the ebr/sopmod wouldve been easier to achieve than the standard m14.
snake_goth
been drooling over this for a long time.
ColSanders
To a certain degree it would be easier , but it would still require some reworking. Alex "Col Sanders"
