sgt.kicker
Well, I've been thinking about getting my hands on a boneyard JP FAMAS and turning it into a somewhat reliable gun. But since version 1 gearboxes and parts are almost impossible to come by, would it be possible (with some hacking and sawing and epoxy) to modify the body to accept another version gearbox? My ideas were: -v3, set up like AUG, with additions to rear body to accommodate the motor placement. OR -v7, with some modifications. Now I'm a relative noob when it comes to electrical work and gearbox functions, so please tell me: would any of these ideas be feasible or even possible?
ED-SKaR
The externals on the JP are just as bad as the internals. It is of corse possible to jerry rig another gearbox into a gun, its just a case of how ugly it is with bits hanging out of the body. Plus it takes a little engenuity and some fabrication of brackets and spacers (not to hard if you are used to making stuff).
angel_wings
How big is the V7 gearbox? Anyone got any dimensions (L,H,W) and I'll measure it against my Famas. (Plus I want them anyway for another project!) Thanks Wings
