Utty
So I'm looking for a rear backup iron sight, mounted on a CA M4 receiver, to match a standard M4 front sight. I'm talking about height. Are all rail mounted BUISs a common height, or do they vary? If I'm not making sense, it's because I'm drunk. Plz help!!!
Stealthbomber
Most of em are designed to work with the original front sight, as long as you actually pick a sight designed for use with an M4, of course. Make sure you don't buy summat like a HK416 iron sight cos that won't work.
Utty
Thanks, I feel more confident (and sober) now. ^___^
Talestar66
Yer i bought a clone (think dboys) BUIS and it lines up fine
M0ldyM!LK
I was issued a Matech BUIS, so those will obviously line up fine. A King Arms Troy style BUIS also lined up just fine on my G&P M4.
BaBaBooey
I've used MI, ARMS, and Hahn in the past with an original Colt front sight post (the one that comes stock with a 6920 LE)...ultimately I felt that the original carry handle sight worked the best for me among these 4. I can't speak for the others that are commonly used. Perhaps they might be better. I hope this helps.
