But i'm having a lot more trouble getting everything out of the slide, any guides for doing this? i haven't found one through searching here or google Link to post Share on other sites
renegadecow Posted April 22, 2010 Report Share Posted April 22, 2010 Remove the barrel assembly then remove the screw underneath where the rear sight lines up. The next step is the tricky part as you'd practically need four hands to get it done smoothly. With precision flat head drivers, you're supposed to pry the slide apart from the bbu approximately at its four corners where the bbu has a little protruding ledge holding unto the plastic. I find working the rear first then prying the bbu out is the easiest way. The same goes for the "inside slide" but you have to undo the metal slide-stop reinforcement first.
