HC Airsoft
Hey all. Looking to fit a 10.8v battery to my MP5k. I know one cell is going to have to go inside the vertical grip. I need a diagram of the battery configuration I'll need so that I can order it. Dremeling/drilling a hole in the foregrip isn't an issue. Any help anyone can give me is greatly appreciated. Thanks! jotaerre
Go Lipo : 11.1V in a stick battery.
Docv400
My initial thought as well. You'd need to check the dimensions carefully of course. A Ni-mH stick pack that fits the 'K' is 202mm long, and has a diameter of 16.5mm, but is 19mm across the point where the wire runs down the outside. Component Shop (UK) list a 3-cell (11.1v) Li-Po stick with the following specs; 11.1V 1400mAh 20C+ continuous discharge 28A continuous, 42A burst 171mm x 19mm x 18.0mm As anyone who owns (has owned) a 'K' will tell you, the Ni-mH packs only go in when the 'ridge' where the wire runs is oriented to the lower left (or right) corner of the battery space. I don't think a Li-Po pack with a 19mm X 18mm cross-section would go in.

Docv400
I stand corrected! Where did you get that one from?
mattmanic
I thought with MP5s you had to do something with the cocking handle section to make big batteries fit?
Hoot
I stand corrected! Where did you get that one from? My best guess http://www.ebairsoft.com/firefox-111v-1200mah-lipolymer-battery-p-2090.html
jotaerre
As Hoot suggested, I got it (more than a year before) at Ebairsoft.
Docv400
I thought with MP5s you had to do something with the cocking handle section to make big batteries fit? Longer Ni-mHs, yes, but as you can see from jotaerre's first pic, the Li-po is shorter than the 8.4v (7-cell) Ni-mH.
