I'm aware that most / all TM parts aren't going to fit correctly on this thing, but none the less they might after doing some fitting. Question is: do you guys know any threads from other forums or perhaps you have modified your WE G17 to work with TM parts? Please give us a grand show. Also, what aftermarket parts DO work simultaneously on TM and WE ? I have done some forum / google digging but I'm not a hundred percent sure. Danke Posted April 9, 2014 Report Share Posted April 9, 2014 Most of your list should be fine. Parts that fit inside the front and rear chassis are the tricky ones as the WE is a bit off the TM. So the hammer sear could be an issue. The WE hopup is fine; new barrel and rubber sure but unless you're bored I don't think full replacement is needed. Link to post Share on other sites

famidesu Posted November 6, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 6, 2014 I've started to modify this thing now and immediately I ran into problems. And since I don't have any experience, this place is probably the best to ask. Things I bought so far. Guarder, Trigger lever / arm. Probably have to shave some material off the nub that pushes the locker back. Why? Because when I still used the original trigger - I'd be going full auto if I pushed the trigger back too far. This is what the housing looks like. About the trigger lever, I watched a youtube video about this - but didn't quite figure out i what way he filed the nub. ReadyFighter: SAI flat style trigger. Here's where the problem comes in. It feels like the trigger isn't allowed to come out enough so the "middle" locking mechanism could take place. Guarder lower frame (TAN) (new version 2013 with added cosmetic fake pins) When I attached the hardware into the frame. I immediately recognized that the slide was very hard to pull back. This has to do with tolerances? Aka. have to shave off material from the rail part of the rear chassis? S.R.U Mechanic slide kit (OD hard anodize) Still waiting for it to arrive. Probably early next week. I was lucky enough to get the holster specifically made to fit a G17 with this slide. It says that it fits G17 TM/WE so I expect it to be a beautiful drop in piece. icolater Posted November 6, 2014 Report Share Posted November 6, 2014 You might run into trouble with the hammer housing not fitting 100% in to the guarder frame I heard that the screw hole on the frame does not line up perfectly with the srew hole on the housing requiring a dremmel to enlarge the hole on the hammer housing. The pin does the most of the work anyways. Although...the OEM WE frame is not entirely lined up either. Just in another way though. Link to post Share on other sites

I am trying to locate a salient arms slide and everything needed to change out the stock slide on the WE G17. And I keep coming up with the TM salient arms slide. famidesu Posted November 11, 2014 Author Report Share Posted November 11, 2014 I have yet to see a SAI kit for WE. There are shops marking some slide kits as "fit for Tm/we". In theory yes. But you will have to do some fitment. Check out SRU gbb. They have slide kits specifically for we and they are unique. Link to post Share on other sites

However not without mods, they do have instructions with the kit to guide you to make it fit. (drop in fit on we) As much fun as I have had with my WE G17 (4thGen) I'm going to sell it and keep my collection Tokyo Marui only. Link to post Share on other sites
