SoSwift
I was wondering if anyone runs an offset scope and what the advantages are? I thought that maybe it would help compenstate from not being able to get the stock flush against your check due to face protection.
renegadecow
They're meant as a backup sight, usually for magnified optics. Instead of sticking out right above the primary optic, they're brought down and the weapon is tilted to get a better view through it. But if it'll help you get a better cheek weld then who's to stop you from using it that way? Might be hard transitioning to the other side though, for taking on opposite sides corners and whatnot. stewpidbear
Recently found in some HK retailers new mesh masks that have mesh over the mouth and nose, and lightly padded sections over the cheeks that allow far better cheek weld, nearly all the team I'm with have or have ordered them. Hope this helps.
Dimitri MdP
They are meant to be used as a close range backup for rifles with magnified optics. For a normal rifleman setup, a simple riser would be preferred. Both will somehow allow for a more decent weld when using mesh masks, but using the offset scope will prevent you from comfortably switching shoulders, which is a priority skill in our game. stewpidbear
The new asks don't have mesh over the cheeks. Work very well, no risers needed.

Only slight drawback they are hotter than a full mesh one.
