directorcass
I would like to replace the pistol grip on my ICS m4 and was wondering if the aftermarket grips for the TM M4 will fit the ICS? Not sure if the screw holes and such were the same.
Buttons
Not without some work. Apparently ICS motors are aligned at a different angle from TM and CA motors. Yes, that means you can't just use a drop in G27 grip...
billymak
Buttons, don't suppose you could tell me more about grips on the ICS could you? I would like a softer more ergonomic one like the Zenith and all those ones out there, but like you said, if its all different alignments then... I best leave it all alone. Buttons
You can shave down the aftermarket grips to get them to the right angle, but it'll be hit or miss and alot of work... I'd suggest just sticking with the ICS grip and maybe tossing on say the Guarder Hogue slipon...
sp00n
It would be way way more work than its worth to make it function.
directorcass
Thanks. I'll get a slip on....
Buttons
Yes... ONe would think ICS would see all the aftermarket grips and put out their own... But no...
Hissing_Sid
Yes... ONe would think ICS would see all the aftermarket grips and put out their own... But no... <{POST_SNAPBACK}> TBH, you'd think ICS would have just made their gun so it was compatible with all the various after-market parts but oh, no. That'd be too easy! Only trouble with ICS is that they just aint totally "marui-compatible".
directorcass
Found that out "ahem ris ahem"...
Buttons
ICS are made to be compatible with all of Olympic Arms aftermarket shwag, that was their deal to get the Trademarks....
PolarBear
My Tokyo Marui RIS fit fine with my ICS m4, all I needed was the handguard collar, and it fit fine.
Hilts
I got a Star SPR grip the other day - it attatches OK but doesn't really line up with the ICS receiver (there's a bit of a gap). The motor goes in but I can't get the ICS motor plate/end cap on. I'm unsure at the moment whether to try and make the ICS one fit, get a TM motor plate and see if that works or just throw it in the f-ing bin . Should've listened to the missus for a change and gone down the pub !
billymak
Thanks for all info here guys! [thumbsup] Hogue grip is nice. Jim's got one on his G18C. I may ask him to get one for me while he's still in Hong Kong. Buttons: Best avatar!!!!
