Apart from the G&P vietnam mag, is there any others out there that don't require winding?

i dont think there are. i have been looking for some for my 'Nam loadout, and i think G&P are the only way to go if we want to avoid hi-caps.

TM Also make 80 round M16 standard type magazines now. However, for the G&P price, you get higher magazine capacity at a lower cost, as well as what many would say, lower reliability.

I remember seeing TM 80rnd magazines at a low, low, low price.

But I can't remember the site.

Some Japanese shop I think it was, and FarEast was the one who linked to it.

If you buy from Japan, the TM versions will be cheaper.

 

If you buy from Hong Kong or anywhere else, the G&P magazines will be cheaper.

 

Most people never order direct from Japan, especially since most things there aren't cheaper by a whole lot.

Actually, Echigoya International carries them for 16 USD each, which is as much as they charge in HK for G&P Magazines.

 

They also stock a lot of standard magazines for quite low prices in comparison to Hong Kong retailers.

The only difference is 30 rnd's...

And the TM ones feed better.

Just seen Airsoft Dynamics sell tm 80 rnds for £13.50. seems ok but they don't always have stuff in stock...im a bit wary, wat do you think?

I editted my above post to show you that you can get either for about the same price. G&P ones require some work to get some of them to work. I've had to add spacers to add spring tension in some of them, all the way to actually filing and lubing down magazines in the right places to get one to feet correctly at all. It's really the lack of quality control G&P midcaps have. You also have to watch out for spring tension as well and unload them if you're not going to use them in a few hours.

 

If you look at it this way, most of my G&P midcaps only feed 90 rounds reliably after being tuned. So 80 out of the box with no work doesn't seem so bad does it?

I had to open up mine and stretch the spring, and reassembly wasn't exactly easy

 

Then I lubed it.

It still doesn't feed anywhere near 110 rnd's.

Well I use them in my FAMAS and have never had a problem with the VNs.

I just stuck some lube in them, and using an old loading rod shoved the BBs in the mag in and out really fast. (Think like your using a toilet Plunger)
