Sniper Sam
I'm going to get a red dot scope, MP5 mount/scope rail and MP5 mag clamp. Who makes the best Aimpoint style scope? There are so many and I don't know much about red dots. Should it have some magnification? I want it to be full metal. This one cought my eye: http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/prod...sp?prodID=16062 Which scope mount is best for the MP5? I don't want the ones that stick 30 feet in the air. Here are a few I looked up on WGC: http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...at_Mount%20Base http://www.wgcshop.com/pcart/shopper.php?i...at_Mount%20Base The 2nd and 3rd ones are a little higher up, would this prevent me having the iron sights in the way when I'm looking through the red dot? Or should I get the low profile because it seems the Aimpoint scopes have a mount that puts the scope higher then nomal red dots that sit right on the rail. And finally should I get Marui or CA mag clamps, I would think Marui but I don't know. Thanks a lot for your help.
Sh0ty
I put a dovetail scope on my Mp5 (for fitting purpose only) and it peeped right through the front sight. (so I didn't see the front post through the scope) Oh, and go for the cheaper brand of mag clamps (they just hold the mags, some electrical tape around the mags and a piece of wood in between the mags will do the same thing)
Sniper Sam
Ok, thanks. I'm going to get G&Ps mag clams. I talked to this guy at a store and he said those are the best available. And 2 for $10! But about the aimpoint and the mount....will I be okay with a low profile mount and the aimpoin will still see over the iron sights?
evansy
i've got the TM low profle mount and a king arms red dot and that sits clear of the iron sights with the mount it came with. for the mag clamps i'd go for CA as there cheaper than TM and are identical i'm not 100% sure but i think you have to use both the G&P clamps to clamp 2 mags together
Sniper Sam
PM'ed. So that means the low profile rail along with an Aimpoint style scope will stay above the iron sights right?
Sniper Sam
and who makes the best aimpoint style scope? There are like 50.
PariahWolf
G&P military type from Zero One is a very nice aimpoint. I've got it on my m14 at the moment but it looked nice on my mp5 as well. The ICS low mount is also a nice piece of kit, however because it is quite low the front site is visible a little in the scope, but it looks good like I said and I prefer the scope lower. Sniper Sam
Ok cool, is the ICS low mount the same as TM and CA right?
PariahWolf
I assume it will fit all guns as it fits off the real thing as well. They are all replicas of it.
