Longhairedhippy
all it does is replace your grips. nothing more, nothing less. it is only a cosmetic upgrade. Look at pictures and decide if you like it, if you do, buy it. if you don't, then don't. it is that freaking simple.
DirtySanta
buy it it! I recomend the guarder wood kit. it looks so much better with wood
Qhs
The new Guarder AK Paratrooper one looks good but it wont be relased untill the end of 04. For now I think the Guarder Real Wood replacement is the best so far.
Kristoffer
The thing about Guarder Wood kits is that they seem to be of variable quality. I have seen a really nice Guarder Dragunov stock, made from a solid piece of wood, and I have seen a rather s****y Guarder Dragunov stock, made from low quality plywood, wich cracked up in 3 different places the first time I picked it up. So my advice to any buyers is to go to a store and look at the wood-parts before you pay 350$ for it. The feel of real wood on your AK is WAY better than the fake-marui-plastic-wood-lookalike. And it looks much better. But It comes at a quite high price I think.
ko5ma
Since you live in the US, I suggest buying real-steel AK wood - it does require some work, but is a lot cheaper and looks just as good - if not better. There are some TM AKs with real-steel wooden furniture in Poland - one of these belongs to Pikace. Here are some of his pics: http://www.asg.elknet.pl/wooden_ak47/
DirtySanta
ko5ma: That was some nice looking wood set on the AK. Looks really great!
DairyBarry
that's awesome and even more realistic than the guarder kit, since it comes directly from real AK47 wood furniture. but then again guarder is coming out with a full AK74 kit with a look-alike wood magazine.
