Ladies and Gentlemen... I present to you... "Teh 1337Mobile"

Around easter time, Midget Gems, ChristoV and their cronies set out on a task to turn a 6-wheeled ikea trolley, found in a ditch at the side of the road, into a luxury one seater road racer. The planning and designing stages went well, although we are still waiting for a reply from BMW about an offer on our latest design, we had managed to arrange a theme and a list of components for our 1337 mobile.

Work began right away, with team engineer 'chris' and his sidekick dexter quickly hatching a plot to salvage scraps from the 1337Mobile mk1 - a 5 (which quickly became 4 after a few runs) wheeled office chair as seen below. A ridiculous amount of cable ties and a small sacrifice to our pagan gods later, the seat and backrest were fastened, a personalized no. plate was fitted aswell. (a chunk of carpet was originally used to cover the base of the trolley, but the foreseeable mold that would accompany it, deterred us into finding a different, but better, solution.)

Next, the hunt for cheap but luxury goods began. Team engineer 'chris' struck lucky, finding a furry flourescent green Fred Flintstone style piece of material ripped into shreds in the corner of the drama studios. It was decided that no luxury vechile would be complete without its own cup holder. Again more scraps from the mk1 were used to bring this dream to reality in a crude but fashionable way. Then tinsel and other assorted christmas decorations were brought in from wide and far to add to the festiveish theme. Finally some budget £5 speakers were brought in and then butchered to create the finishing touches.

We decided from near the start that we were going to stick to a budget, so we decided that the project would not cost more than £15 and I'm glad to say we managed to stick to that.

If you've managed to read this far then the reward for you is two videos of the 1337Mobile in action... Enjoy

{Metaphorical bonus marks for anybody who gets all the songs playing in all the videos}

We do have an upgrade currently in production, The 1337mobile-S (sport) Which should feature steering and heated seats. Paired up with a nice downhill course and a blonde emo in the driving seat, it should be fun to watch when completed.
