I will be staying in beuna park (near annaheim), but wanted to know two things are there any good airsoft shops in the area? and are there any good sites in the area ?.

I wont be buying any guns but will be after mainly mags and maybe some molle kit ?

Buena Park is a fair trip from LA. Call it three hours on the freeway each way, assuming you're not going at a "rush hours" early morning or late afternoon. If you are, call it five hours. (Voice of experience here, I used to have to go up to Burbank from Costa Mesa two or three times a week when I was in college)

That bit of enlightenment to someone who's not familiar with the wretched CA freeway system aside, decent airsoft shops in the LA area are Airsoft Extreme in Torrance ( http://www.airsoftextreme.com ) and Steelhawk Airsoft in Orange

( http://www.steelhawkairsoft.com ). Both shops are geared more towards guns than accessories, but AEX stocks just about every magazine variant you can dream of, including those electric drums for various AEGs.

If you're really looking for tactical gear, pouches, etc. there's several Army surplus stores in Orange County. Two that occur to me offhand are the one on PCH (pacific coast highway) in Newport Beach, and one near UC Fullerton in well, Fullerton.

When you get to town, crack a phonebook and you should get the actual names and addresses with little difficulty.

If your near LA you could go to Airsoft Extreme. They have a shop in San Diego and Torrance. Go check out airsoftextreme.com. Click store info and look at those two stores, but depending on where you are they could be a few hours away from you. I don't really know the area that well because I live in northern California and haven't been down there very much.

In Buena Park, the closest place is Gear Box and Airsoft Advantage (Hole in the wall) in Fullerton. There is also an Army surplus in Placentia which is next to Fullerton.

AEX in Torrance is much further west near LAX. Other place in Orange is Steel Hawk in Chapman.

AirsoftGI just got a new store on the other side of the hill in Walnut.

If you want ... PM me and I'll give you more details. What kind of mags are you looking for?!

I've no idea what he's talking about. Downtown LA to Buena Park is only about 20 miles at the most. At the worst it shouldn't be more than hour and half. <_<

But rest of his info's good. If you want to try something little different, go try visiting AS4L on friday evening. You'll get to see some classic airsoft and the new Escort engined GBB rifles/LMG.

Yeah, I'm with hhsohn. 3 hours without traffic? It's bad, but not that bad. I live in La Mirada and I had to take trips every Friday into downtown LA during rush hour and it never took us more than 2 hours in the worst traffic to get back to school.

Gear Box is a pretty good store. Scott is a really nice guy, and while the prices may be a bit above online (which is to be expected), he has a really extensive selection for such a small store.

I've been to Steel Hawk several times as well. They have all the mainstream/most popular guns and accessories. Still haven't been to Airsoft Extreme, though I've heard good things. There are also several Jungle Toys around, if you want CYMAs and other cheap stuff.

Avoid Jungle Toys at all cost. If you just want to buy WE GBB. Then walkin... make the purchase and walk out. My experience with the guys worked at their serveral stores aren't positive. And most of them are pretty clueless.

Try www.socalairsoft.com for stores and sites. You have to sift through lots of BS, though.

I'd recommend Airsoft GI and Steel Hawk Airsoft in Industry. I've had good experiences with both. If you go to Airsoft GI, there's a younger asian guy that's pretty nice. Walter's a BS'er, though.

AEX can get little snooty, especially if they have their friends lounging around like bums.

I was just down there with my friend about a week ago. In Arcadia, Evike and Replisoft are like 5 minutes away they open around 11 or 12. Replisoft has nno stuff though, their mainly known for insane upgrades, though the staff is really nice. Evike's has a lot of vests/mags so if you're looking, its good. I think they wanted around 80 for a molle and it came with pouches. I was kinda eavesdropping on someone else buying so I might have heard wrong. Airsoftgi's store is REALLY obscure. It's a great store and the staff is knowledgeable. Its located in this warehouse area, look near the end on the right hand side, there should be an open door and a posterboard sign that's written in sharpie that says AirsoftGi. You could also goto AEX, they became the biggest chain in CA. I've never been to so-cal stores, but the nor-cal stores are stocked well (they were out of guarder MOLLE vests for OD color, said their supposed to get a new shipment anytime)

Thanks for all your help, i am definately giving airsoft GI and airsoft extreme a try as they are not that not far to go from me, should save some money along the way with buying kit in the states instead of blighty's prices.

airsoft extreme, up in santa clara everyone is nice and knowledgable, they helped me pick out my gbb, even some of the customers helped me out.

Santa Clara is no where near SoCal my friend. Nearest AEX is in Torrance which is still about 30-35 miles from Buena Park. And the 91 fwy is a *badgeress* to drive on weekdays.

try walmarts for basic accessories

i bought a guncase for $13 last week and on ebay they are £30 !!!

You must be joking right? Walmart?
