vince
I've been wondering for a little while if its actually possible to retouch the paintwork on most metal parts, even only as a temporary solution. Well, less wondering and more contemplating. I know it'll only chip off again over time, but my flash hider on my M4 is starting to look a little bare and shiney due to having one too many run-ins with my ICS silencer - not to mention the damage done to the stock pipe from just storing and using the gun. If anyone can offer some good solutions (preferably cheap and in the UK) for this sort of thing I'd be very thankful - more so if anyones done this before and has found a kind of paint that spreads evenly, adhears well to metal and almost matches some of the black stuff TM use (i might sound stupid but I don't use paint too often, thanks). enzo100
Ummm I don't kno what paint to use *waves at HM* but I do know that there is one way to make this a little more succesful. Just make multiple thin layers and coats so that it doesnt run. If you make the layers light enough chipping shouldn't be too bad.
Scizz
A flat black enamel would probably work best for your parts. A rattlecan is fine. Thats what I use. It coats evenly, and works well with metal.
nmcabecadas
I start by cleaning and polishing the area, then applying several thin layers with a spray and finally use polish it to blend the colors. Modeling sprays are good but less strong than automotive paints.
