FW200
Down again it seems, maybe it's about time we find a new server?

Marlowe
I've been on since 10.45 and there's no sign of any disconnections etc. The channel is a little quiet thought. Perhaps some DNS referral is an issue?

Marlowe
Sao just joined via the Java client (the one built into Arnies) without problem. Try using that.

Marlowe
You're confusing IRC with the forums. An easy mistake to make - I misread FW's post initially in the same way. Â For more information on what IRC is, click here.
joeking27
Can't connect here either.
Marlowe
Can't connect here either. Â It appears to be a problem affecting a wide range of people. Unfortunately I can't see any pattern in it - the people connected are from around the world, using entirely different ISPs and connecting via both the Java and various dedicated IRC clients. MooCow
i left mine on overnight and at 11:36 i got disconnected and on 13:53 i rejoined from the auto reconnect. Â think the server was a bit poop at the time.
Stealthbomber
Dunno if this helps at all... Â I sometimes find that I can't connect on my desktop PC, for example, but I find I can connect just fine on my laptop. I get exactly the symptoms FW is describing. I try connecting using mIRC and the java applet. Â I dunno what this means but is seems like the problem is something at my end rather than the remote end. Â I've had this happen about a dozen times and connecting on a different PC will always work. No real idea why though. Sorry.
cazboab
Okay, Part of the internet magics of IRC doesn't always work, the xombo domain is dependant on the host of xombo's website so connecting to irc.xombo.com doesn't work if the website is out for any reason cos it won't redirect you to the server, irc.arniesairsoft.co.uk points to irc.xombo.com too so any problem you experience connecting to xombo with mIRC or trillian etc will more than likely occur with the java ap as well. Â However typing "/server 72.20.27.124" in any IRC client should solve this problem, assuming the server is actually running.
joeking27
That didn't work for me yesterday though.
