Ryan220
My new MP7 has a problem. It mes feeds constantly. Look into the mag the BBs seem to e double stacking and getting stuck down inside the mag. Also when the gun fires, sometimes the BB's only travel 2 or 3 metres and sometimes it fires fine. Any ideas appreciated I have tried lubing the mags and squirting lube into the mag-well/feed
FJ2 - Kaye
Just as a possibility, maybe poor quality BBs?
stewpidbear
My MP7 has virtually the same problem, not misfeeding, but only firing 2-3m. First test fire was fine, but when I tried chroning at skirmish very low fps and only fired 2-3m. Help!!!
ED-SKaR
It miss feeds constantly. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> (allmost definatly)darthwite had this trouble when he braught his around my house (brand new). put a little silicone spray on the lip that holds the BBs in then lond it back for a few seconds. after you put a few mag fulls through it will clear up Look into the mag the BBs seem to e double stacking and getting stuck down inside the mag. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> (definatly)it is a 'mid cap' style magazine, it is suppost to double stack Also when the gun fires, sometimes the BB's only travel 2 or 3 metres and sometimes it fires fine. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> (maby)addjust your hop unit, it might be set too low (the stuff in brackets is how sure i am of what i am saying, just so you know)
davedawg123
I had the same problem. Lube the hopup. Take it apart to do this if need be. This did the trick.
Qhs
A few drops of silicon oil into the bb feed area inside the mag well should do the trick. Make sure you fully charge the battery too.
Ryan220
Thanks for the advice. I shall try relubing the mag tomorrow (my BBs were sticking half way down the mags) but I'll do the catch at the top and get some more lube into the mag. This time I'll "drop" it in rather than using the silicone oil spray I'll try another batch of BBs (was using Excels) Ill lube the hop and maybe get some oil into the cylinder incase the piston head o ring is dry. Thanks again
Gramaton Cleric
yes, i had the same problem with my mag yesterday, the spring inside the mag just didn't seem to be pushing up the bb's. I would look down the feed tube and see the bb's stuck like halfway down and would have to shake the mag to get the bb's to move up again. I put in a different brand of bb's and it seemed to feed fine after that but i only tried it once, so i don't know if that actually fixed the problem.
Duke Togo
This proves again how important the use of high-quality bbs is. You don't need to run Grand Masters, but those cheap $10 for 5000 bbs are just ###### and can screw up your gun from the inside.
MDK_Marshal
Point of fact, the charge in your battery makes quat difference to how it feeds. It will only ever chamber one shot at a time (As long as everything is working right, of course) with a full charge or barley enough charge to fire a shot.
Ryan220
I thought I'd post a follow up as my MP7 now seems to be working perfectly. I followed the advice about cleaning and lubing the various parts, however seeing as mine is under warranty I couldnt take it apart. My terminology isnt great but I hope you'll understand what I mean. So for those of you with the same problem here is what I did. I filled each mag with BB's and then put about 10 drops of 1.5 ultra light silicone oil into each mag. The BB's were there to assist in the spread of the oil to the sides of the BB tube (mine was suffering from BBs becoming stuck halfway down the mag). I also put a drop into the mag lip thingy that holds the BBs in. I kept the mags upright for a couple of minutes and then stood them inverted them onto to cloth so all the oil could drain out. Next I dripped oil down through the grip into the hole where the BB's feed into. I dont know how much - loads. Whilst dripping the oil I had the gun firing on full auto. Oil pretty much gets all over the place so make sure your in your garage or workshop. I wiped away the excess and then gave the barrel a drying out with a piece of cloth. I have just finished test firing it and am pleased to say that I was able to put 21 mags through it with NO mis-feeds at all. With all that oil the hop never worked for the first 18 mags, but now its working fine and quite frankly I'm suprised at its range. After 21 mags the battery was getting tired and the RoF was dropping. Id assume another 3 mags and that'd be it. I hope this helps anyone who had the same problems as I had. Thanks again to the people that offered their advice
Carrion
######. there are guns where the battery charge is vital to the ammount of bbs chambered. m60s for example can and HAVE pushed bbs out of the end of the barrel always use a fully charged battery to ensure the gun functions 100% crrectly 1st time then later allow it to draw less juice. MDK_Marshal
What brand M60? if it's the top ones, then fair enough, as I have no idea how the bellows system works. However, any AEG using the standard TM design or a copy of it will chamber only one round at a time no matter the charge the battery has left. It'll just do it slower if it has les charge. Care to explain how exactly the charge on the battery will affect how many rounds are chambered in the Top (I asusnme) M60? As I said I've no idea how the bellows system works, so it'd be good to find out
