  1. Reading through this makes me so tempted to get one unless we come out with a ppk.
  2. I am quite interested in the pdw version as I already have the awful to use vfc a3, but I have found that pdw stocks crumble on the hinge on my aeg versions. Is this monkey metal on the we, or steel? If anyone can confirm this that would be great.
  3. So how is the slide holding up after the mods? I was looking at that video and wondering whether the rear of the barrel was hitting on the slide, causing it to push forward a little too much? I was also thinking to myself how it was looking like it was heading towards the look of an armourer modified movie blank gun, where the barrel lock has been shaved down to accommodate the blank rounds. Not necessarily too bad a look. I was also curious about what you do with all your old parts that are no longer any use??
  4. So far my p99 is holding up really well, just as many of my newer we pistols do. The only signs of wear so far are a tiny mark on the plastic frame on the trigger guard caused by the fobus holster (where it retains the gun) and that is only very minimal. The only other mark is on the ejection port at the very front where the barrel locks up into place, and again it is only very slight, not the usual scraping that all too often happens. The fit and finish is great, I can't recommend it highly enough so far.
  5. Just out of interest, I was toying around with the idea of getting one of these, but wondered what parts are compatible with real steel parts. Probably the only positive thing about the vfc is that most stocks etc are a drop in fit with no or very minor modifications needed (for example only the buffer needs a slight reduction in length for the slither stock to fit), and aftermarket surefire forgrips fit perfectly, as does the older style slimline grip if that is your thing. How does the we fare on such things?
  6. If you have not cocked the gun first, then it will fail to fire when you pull the trigger, even though it goes through the motions, it will simply dry fire (click). Once the gun has chambered a round (either by cocking , cocking then decocking, or by inserting a new magazine whilst the slide is locked back and releasing the slide) then it will fire. The two stage trigger doesn't work as per the real gun, but the trigger reset point does, giving you the shorter trigger pull anyway, so it doesn't really make that much of a difference, only that the trigger doesn't sit slightly further back o
  7. No holster issues whatsoever, I have tried it in 3 different makes and styles, including a custom leather shoulder rig and a standard fobus, and all fit nice and cozy.
  8. I would definitely recommend getting one to anybody, WE have done an excellent job, if not a little bemusing to me as to the design of how they have done it, but excellent execution none the less. One thing I forgot to mention is something that I personally hate, and that is the safety catch. The real gun doesn't have one, doesn't really need it, but both the Maruzen and the WE have implemented one by pushing the take down lever (above the trigger) to the left. Also, the WE doesn't have the two stage trigger as per the real thing and the Maruzen, but again it is not really a big issue
  9. Here is the exploded parts diagram for the WE.
  10. I was having loads of difficulty uploading pics ????
  11. This gun needs no introduction really, it has featured in many games and movies, most notably as James Bond's sidearm (along with the PPK), yet a decent airsoft version seems to be something that has alluded us for quite some time. I recently purchased a WE mars p long long (but who are we kidding, it is a p nine nine) and was pleased that I did. The WE is not a direct clone of the woeful Maruzen, neither is it a direct copy of the real gun, which is something that I found rather intreaguing, so I decided to approach this review as a kind of comparison between them. The first thi
  12. Lovely review, really enjoyed the video. I must say that I really have a hard on for the VP9, so I was disappointed to see the failings on this, especially as I have been holding off getting a hk45 until I find one I like enough. I was really hoping that vfc would make a p30 or usp compact as I would be all over those like a $5 hooker. My VP9 has no problems with the standard valve, all works better than I was expecting, much much better in fact, but my vfc g36 and mp5 are very poor performance, so I shall get some of those valves and give them a try, maybe they will make me rethink my op
  13. I would go as far as to say best pistol, unless you are spending silly money. I shall look forward to reading what you think and looking at some more pretty pictures :-)
  14. Absolutely spot on, as good as any tm I have ever had. The groupings are great at an average range. Obviously time will tell as to how it will last, but so far I am more than sold on it.
  15. Having only just recently purchased my first vfc pistol with some hesitation after having purchased their mp5 and g36, I wanted to write a small review as I hadn't found one yet. I was having a toss up on whether to get a tm or a ksc Hk45, but decided to go with the vfc VP9 as I couldn't quite decide on the other two. Size wise the VP9 is similar to the Hk45 or P30, but is a striker fired weapon as opposed to having an external hammer. I believe that the magazines are the same as the P30, so maybe we will get a decent airsoft one soon? Anyway, here is the pistol: All that
