  1. Okay, yeah, I know…. I’m really late on this one, but it’s finally here. I got around to reviewing the Dboys SCAR-L. I’ve been dying to get this gun for sometime now. Let me say that if you love an M4 in your hands, you’ll love this. Sure it’s not 100% authentic, but it’s still nice. For the money you can’t beat it. It’s got a stronger body than the STAR, better internals than the VFC, and higher fps than all of it’s competitors, and is only about $150! The accuracy is nothing to write home about, and there is the issue of the plastic bushings and poor shim job, but you’re buying
  2. Woah... It's Arnie.... to have my topic graced by his presence.... the honor...
  3. The install is the same, as the microswitch has 2 contacts just like a regular aeg switch. If you need further help, just pm me. If you order a fet from me, they come with generic directions, but they should work fine for the m249. As far as the motor, if you're going with an m100, I would suggest putting in a guarder high speed motor instead of the ICS 3000 (which is a torque motor not a high rof motor). The cylinder head in mine seals like a champ... if you have a good seal don't worry about replacing it. The piston is garbage though.
  4. I noticed today that the sidebar ("main menu") on the left hand side only appears when I'm not logged in. When I log into the forums it disappears! What's going on with that? I tried clearing my cookies, but that didn't do it.
  5. that's the hardest way in the world to do this. Just remove the connector bar between the selector and the cutoff lever on the left side. BAm.... now it's semi-only. All it requires is removing two screws. It's the part shown already removed at the top of this picture:
  6. I bought this in the desire to increase the total ROF for my A&K m249 and to help pull a m120 spring. Honestly... this battery rocks. After several thousand rounds thorough the M249, it was still going strong with over 11v of charge still left in it. At a 25C discharge rate, and 2200mAh, I'm loving it. I have a full review and write up of it here: http://infectedairsoft.wordpress.com/revie...xtreme-v2-lipo/ I must say if you're going to pick up one of these, or any lipo, check out RCLipos.com. That's where I got mine, and the service was awesome!
  7. One more question. My box mag has been jamming up EVERY game. I know fareast said that there is something you can file down to improve the feeding. I'm not quite following his pictures as to what it is that needs to be filed down.... can anyone help me with a clearer explanation? I need to get this thing working right before the night game on Saturday.
  8. Out of curiosity, I noticed that my bearings (stock) did not sit flush inside the gearbox, and stuck 1-2mm above recess.... so that being the case, why couldn't I use flanged bearings?
  9. Hum... I was just considering replacing my bearings (as my 249 just stopped feeding and I'm going back into the gun). So these wouldn't work: http://www.gunnerairsoft.com/catalog/produ...products_id=546 Everywhere I look, I'm finding the possible correct bearings for $10-11 each! Stealthbomber, what are the dimensions of the bearings (ID, OD, Width), that I need to be looking for? Any suggestions on where to look? I looked at mcmaster's as they have just about everything... but there's only 2 choices in 8mm bearings. Could I use a 5/16inch bearing as it's almost the e
  10. Have you tried warming it up with a heat gun for a minute and trying?
  11. Well to get it off... I just used my hand and unscrewed it clockwise (looking down the barrel). You do know that the flash hider on the para unscrews at the front sight right?
  12. On my echo1 para, there was no problem getting the flash hider off.
  13. Love the SOG Render.... I'm hoping to score one for Father's day .
  14. I think it's woodland MARPAT, but the green is oversaturated in his pictures. The white balance on the camera was most likely off a bit.
  15. Not to be rude, but what in God's name are you blending into with that load out?

  17. These things stick pretty well. After the cure time, I imagine they won't fall off.
  18. FYI Guys, I finally got the review up on my website for the Nitesiters sights. They are really amazing. The key is keeping your eyes acclimated to the dark. If they loose that, you'll notice your sights seem to dim if they haven't been charged in an hour or more. A quick charge with a UV LED works great, and if you've been leaving them out under a light (incandescent or daylight), for 30 min or more, you can count on them to work late into the night. The adhesive works well, and on my USP, you almost can't tell they're not the stock sights during the day! Here's the full review: htt
  19. once an offender ... always an offender! muuuhhahahahahaha!
  20. Hey guys, this thread wasn't meant to be a place to vent about your warning points. Maybe I set a bad example.
  21. Not the best photo i've ever taken, but for now it'll have to do. Externals: CA M15A4 RIS, JP Rifle Front End (Short), JBU Silencer, Leapers Red Dot, Echo1 ACE Stock Long, G&P G16 Grip Dark Earth color Internals: CA Gearbox Shell, CA Standard Gears, Area1000 Piston Head, Cylinder Head, and Cylinder, Prometheus Piston and Spring Guide, Systema M120 Spring, Magnum Motor, Madbull Inner barrel (stock M4 length), Guarder Hop up unit, Guarder Black bucking
  22. FYI I wasn't complaining... I was just stating a fact. I did see that Marlowe had decreased my warn level... I personally like the comment "Good behavior". Oh I feel like a felon now hehe.
  23. Don't i know it, mine seem to be permanent.
  24. If you're looking for a shotgun that spreads multiple shots over an area, then this is the most economical way to get there. The build quality seems good, and the effective range is decent. I would like to see the groupings stay closer longer and an adjustable hop up unit might be nice if one dial could adjust all 3 barrels simultaneously. The amount of force needed to rack the gun is a bit much. I understand that it's going to need more force to push 3 bbs, so in a springer (such as this is), you'll need a stiffer spring. It does seem to work in though after a few hundred shots.
