  1. It's a Marui with a plastic body. I have finished it with a few coats of 'off black' car primer and wet sanded and then a coat of black spray and sanded again. On all the raised edges and heavy wear areas the dark grey of the primer and the light grey of the marui body show thru the black top coat and the result is a very realistic finish even in person. People ask if it's metal all the time. I'm thinking about replacing it with an A1 receiver, but not right now (too much other stuff to square away first).
  2. TT MAV with SDS, Spec ops and TT pouches. Camelbak Mule Post '75 SoF jungle gear.
  3. thanks for the lnk, they have the charger and the 100 round mag I wanted too! (mine came with a HK charger, so I had a HK to UK to US adapter montstrosity going on... no good.)
  4. or fire at all at the moment. the battery that shipped with the gun broke after the first charge anyone know where I can get a new AEP battery and charger? will marui AEP batts fit?
  5. my Double Eagle USP AEP with a king arms 200mm silencer. I was really surprised that the plastic threaded outer barrel fit on a clockwise 14mm silencer. the knife is a columbia river knife and tool tanto folder.
  6. http://www.condoroutdoor.com/default.php you need to register and there may be a minimum order... maybe a group buy would get everyone you know everything they need. get spare MALICE clips, the snaps on the back of the condor shingles suckxors.
  7. Second guy from the right looks to be wearing a SPEAR BALCS (thats what the shoulder straps + the groin cover look like to me). I cant tell if he has horivontal PALs or Vertical PALS, but SPEAR BALCS could have either (depending on issue date IIRC) I wear yellow tint glasses in woodland as well, I never had anything to back up why I like them in that enviroment.
  8. Nice! next time your in the darkroom, try to shoot the neg with a piece of crumpled wax paper smoothed out over the paper. you'll have to give it a longer exposure, but it gives a cool distressed look I used to use before photoshop was invented. (thanks JP Witkin)
  9. The last few pages have been great! gotta love the artistic eye- focused on guns and airsoft! here's my latest contribution, just a posed snap 'shopped around a bit. but I think it's moody:
  10. I have a few pouches from the condor company and have been pleased with all of it so far. I have found Condor branded gear at Cheaperthandirt.com, AirsoftGi's "oe-tech" line is 85% condor, evike.com has a lot as well. Thomas, can you comment on the Truspec TRU in multicam? I have the same fatigues in US woodland and found them to be rock solid. I have been thinking about getting a set in multicam aas well.
  11. my artistic contribution. this picture was taken in the mountainous region of west central Florida.
  12. looks like a SOtech callahan convertible PC. unless I just made that up (its been a loong day). Nerv, do they make a motorola version of the headset??
  13. nice rig! can you comment on your headset? brand, retailer, price quality etc.
  14. yep, the biggest disappointment to me with the CQBR is that damn crane stock. It's just too bulky for me and I constantly felt like I was fighting around it. I didn't want to rely on PEQ box, or rewire the rifle, and I didn't want a battery bag either. Then I saw a SEAL (IIRC) team photo and one operators had a popflare zip tied to his colapsable buttstock, and another had a stick of C4 in the same place, and it was my eureka moment. I used a strip of industrial mounting tape (double sided spongey tape) and added the zip ties for extra security.
  15. Thanks everyone for the positive feedback. I was sitting on the fence about painting the CQB, because part of me wanted a camo gun, but another part said "you'll ruin the trademarks you paid extra for ...idiot). It wasn't until I had the CQB in pieces that I realized I could paint just the upper and keep the trades intact. So in part, I wanted the gun to look mashed together, Like a trusted rifle that just came back from the infirmary, But it was also a clever ploy to have a camo painted gun while keeping the nice armalite trademarks. The colors used were (in order of layers): Kr
  16. These are my two armalites. Top was a Marui m733 (swapped to a 12.5 inch barrel), underneath is a Classic Army CQB. this is how they looked last month: Hope you like em.
  17. My two rifles, Marui M733 and CA CQBR. hope you like em, I'm still pretty new around here.
  18. great clones guys! I too have succumbed to the clone syndrome. cyma 028. I'm running a 9.6 with no problems except it only feeds with cyma mags. whateve, it's a loaner anyhoo.
  19. group shot of the teams that showed up at Belcher trails that day. No op or anything, just pick up games. Pictured is the Recon Rangers, Belcher Boys, "the Family" and various teamless players. I'm in the front row with the camo'd m733 and the flag patch on the wrong sleeve.
