  1. Just like Mars im running 7.4 volt 20c lipo packs in mine. Been doing that for quite some time now. This gun is more than capable of handling the high discharge rates.
  2. Drake, Did you refinish your scar or did you correct the colors in photoshop? That looks ALOT closer in color to the current generation of scars.
  3. Im talking about the US retailers/distribution network. Ordering from overseas is easy currently simply because the US customs agents have no idea what they're looking at for the most part. If the packaging says toy gun, it must be a toy gun. Before these can be imported on a large scale they must be approved by the ATF.
  4. They are making sure its not classified as a firearm since the parts closely resemble each other. Just be patient.
  5. Im going to second that. Corps, a year ago i would have agreed with you. Honestly though man, ive stopped putting real steel parts on my guns beyond back up iron sights and SOME stocks simply because the airsoft BUIS's and stocks (depending on model) are generally terrible. Everything else is functionally sound as far as im concerned. The only part that really doesnt cut the mustard these days are the metal body kits but again, depending on manufacturer they're close enough. I really do think that MOST people spend money on airsoft guns for all of the wrong reasons. The retards at my
  6. Ok so your sight is the most reliable sight you've used. Its been reliable after what...four months of use? Seriously man, really now... Do you even use it on a real rifle? Its fairly common knowledge with anyone that shoots seriously that eotechs are NOT as reliable as aimpoints, no ifs ands or buts. Most of the major shooting instructors endorse aimpoints over eotechs despite the fact that they stand to benefit greater financially if they're backing eotech. Eotechs are as popular as they are beause they spent a gajillion dollars on marketing to LE agencies and civilians
  7. Roecar, that is fantastic information. Thank you so much for providing that!!! I wonder if it will ever pan out. Pretty cool to see a US manufacturer, especially a firearms manufacturer actually considering producing their own line of guns. The only thing that kind of kills my joy is that you said they would probably evolve into something like Magpul PTS. I would hope that they would actually produce some airsoft guns in their US factory.
  8. The low mount does NOT work on a Scar. It is WAAAYY too low. AP micros do look odd on the scar for some strange reason but the simple fact of the matter is that its an excellent optics platform so regardless of the fact that it doesnt look pro, its a stupidly functional optic. Function over form.
  9. All of the models that ive taken apart have had plastic bushings but i wouldnt be surprised if VFC updates their production line and starts including ball bearings.
  10. Roecar, where in the HELL did you hear that info? lol.
  11. App...you always go above and beyond man. You're one of the few guys on here that consistently posts some amazing and realistic looking airsoft guns. Kudo's man, stuff looks great and i always love looking at your pictures.
  12. Ukau, thanks a ton of the pictures man. If you dont mind, keep them coming, im really digging the setup with the PEQ-15, looks incredible. How much room was there for the wiring btw? Was it a tight fit for the extra mm or two the signal wire for the fet takes up? Some guns are stupidly tight in that area ie most ar15 variants.
  13. Y'know... VFC has YET to make a SINGLE good magazine lol. Their ak74 midcaps feel ok but honestly man, wow, they feed horribly.
  14. Cali, welcome back man, was thinking you had gone off the deep end!!! Nice looking PDW!
  15. Sure, we could do that but Corps is going to win easily...
  16. Its not really a matter of being high enough. Its more of a matter of whether or not the scope is pushed forward far enough since the TR21 has tremendous eye relief. If its the SPR-E version it should be good to go. Also, depending on how you shoot, with a standard SPR mount you may not experience any problems.
  17. The cutout for the blowback system could not be part of an airseal issue. The piston head does not retract that far. Check the seal between your piston head, cylinder head and cylinder with the nozzle in place. Are there any leaks? If so, rule out where the leak is coming from and fix that issue. The stock cylinder components are some of the best ive used so unless you assembled it improperly or those components are worn i doubt its coming from there. Its more than likely that you've got a leak between your hopup bucking and your nozzle.
  18. No, definitely not. The Airsoft leds are also not as bright. They might be more "defined" but they certainly arent as brilliant as the real thing. Corps: Mine only "starbursts" when its turned up very high. I normally operate with the optic on the 7 or 8 setting. I rarely EVER go above that. If im in a semi well lit room indoors, on the 8 setting i can see a bit of glare on the outside edges of the optic. The second i turn the dial down to a lower setting it goes away. Both of my AP micro's were bought brand new and both perform the same way so i wouldnt worry about it. The only
  19. Its weird, for Airsoft, i dont mind my eotechs. None of the downsides that i listed above really apply. There's no recoil and i DO have the luxury of changing batteries as often as i want. The reticle is also not that bad because i dont really care about precision in airsoft. A hit, is a hit and if i have to snapshoot some guy and hit him in the foot merely because i placed the doughnut somewhere on his body thats all i care about lol. The only thing that annoys me about the eotech is that ive been so spoiled by the aimpoint. Its so incredibly light. After 10 hours on the range with a 1
  20. LOTS of people are anti eotech. The only reason why eotechs are as popular as they are is because L3 dumped a trillion gajillion dollars into advertising. Eotechs are by and large crappy sights. The reticle is "OK" at best but nothing spectacular. I believe its fantastic at 5-7 yards and under but beyond that the aimpoint is far superior. Also, i dont care how "fast" the doughnut of death may be. Its NOT precise. Id much rather take a smaller dot over a circle any day of the week for a precise shot. Putting all of that aside, the real issue is that Eotechs are unreliable. Unfo
  21. Milla, Drake does not own Magpul. Richard Fitzpatrick does. Also, Corps, can you go ahead and expand upon what you said about the BAD (battery assist device?) Im not sure why he would have to remove his firing hand from the pistol grip to operate the bolt release or rack the charging handle. All of the motions, minus potentially having to clear a stove piped case would involve the reaction side hand which is the hand that operates the charging handle and bolt release. Also, i believe Chris is using T1's now. Both Chris and Travis seemed to be really pleased with the performan
  22. Um... The VFC AIMS is compatible with the real VLTOR receiver extension... Ive got a bad picture here somewhere. Its an odd picture, huge resolution and the stocktube isnt completely straight. This is an issue on SOME real AK's as well.
  23. Man, some people here really need to not give in to impulse buying and then the "new car" syndrome... Im pretty sure alot of other people ran out and purchased one of these based on the feedback here. I think everyone needs to calm down a little bit and allow the early adopters to put their guns through some trials. So far we have TWO owners on here with COMPLETELY different experiences.
  24. In response to the comments about the self shimming gears. At most velocities and rpms, ie 400 and below and 1000 and below, you really dont run into any problems with the gear system. Its not AS good as manually shimming and adjusting the gears yourself but the simple fact of the matter is that it works and quite frankly, it functions better than most OEM shim jobs. Im considering getting the SR16 as im extremely impressed across the board with VFC's products thus far. The inclusion of metal bushings/bearings in this bad boy are the icing on the cake and basically mean that you've got
