  1. A buddy of mine who I shoot with in RS classes a lot, wanted me to build him an airsoft gun the same as one of his RS guns. Mostly G&P parts Madbull Hop Up with a KM tight bore barrel DYTac 14.5" outer barrel and SF MB556K muzzle brake VFC mid caps x 10 King Arms Piston Gas Block RS Samson Manufacturing rail RS Optics (these were mine, he's replaced them with his own) Since building this rifle for him, he's since gotten to handle my KWA LM4 and now wants a different build using that platform instead. Oh well.
  2. Freakin sweet. Now to decide between the 10-8 sights, Meprolights, or Tijicon HD sights. Tempted to go with the 10-8's since that's what I use on my RS guns. BTW, how's the fit of the RS sights into the KSC Glock? Is it tight/loose, etc?
  3. I use needle nose pliers to ensure that it bends evenly. The bar is essentially an inverted "L" shape. I bend the horizontal portion of the bar that is to the rear of the vertical bar. I don't bend the entire bar from the front of the bar.
  4. All you're doing is bending it so that it tilts downwards more, and therefore pushes the bucking further into the chamber evenly. The alternate method of wrapping the bar with PTFE tape is something I've heard others do and essentially thickens the bar in small amounts so that it pushes down more. You might want to try that instead. If your need for the gun is target shooting, CQB or generally engagements that don't have to reach out too far, the gun will be fine as is. If you need it as a primary or as a backup in an outdoor terrain (or generally any AO in which you have longer engagement
  5. Thanks Shardik. Will wait for others to confirm. Regarding the WE and TM, I've tested and swapped parts from both and they're compatible with one another. The WE is decent, although on all the ones I've worked with, the triggers don't lock back on the last round like on my KSC/TM Glocks. I'm still not sure what the culprit is to that. Also the WE hopUp bar needs to be adjusted as in it's stock condition it doesn't affect the BBs enough (which can be fixed either by bending the bar or by shimming it). Other than that the WE Glock will accept aftermarket parts designed for the TM G17.
  6. Anyone know if the KSC/KWA Glocks are compatible with real Glock sights?
  7. At first I thought that the hopUp in my Mk23 was having no effect and I had a lemon. There was probably some kind of bur or flash left over from the plastic molding process because when we were testing the gun a few weeks back we were able to apply a little more force and dial the hopup to the perfect setting. The gun now shoots perfectly flat and accurately with everything we've fed it. We used it at a major game this summer and were beyond pleased with the results. Highly recommended as well!
  8. Great video. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Those rails do work on G&P, VFC and other AEG upper receivers. You just need to anticipate the possibility of rethreading the upper receiver. I've installed RS LW URX's and RS URX 2's and 3's on my AEGs in the past. Also, VFC may make replicas of the new URX rails, but it may be delayed since they're working on getting licensing from KAC. Also, their production capabilities are limited and they're focused on SCARs and other guns right now. So it may be a while before they get back round to doing KAC products.
  10. If you're the kind of shooter who likes to have irons up at all times, even through an optic, the FSP rail cutouts make a lot of sense as at least that way you still have real estate for attachments forward of the FSP. I know quite a few shooters who keep their irons up. It's not for me though.
  11. I have some of their holsters we used in a recent photoshoot for the Japanese ARMS magazine. The hex cuts are awesome and look cool but a pricey addition/option. If money is tight you may want to consider skipping that option or doing it yourself.
  12. You could do that ... OR ... you could simply ask OTG to make a holster that will fit the TM spec Glocks . OTG has samples of both the TM / KWA Glocks on hand to test fit and ensure proper fit. Getting an OTG RS Glock 21 spec holster will be good, but an OTG airsoft Glock 17 spec holster will be perfect. You won't need to heat and soften the holster to make it fit correctly (as I have done in the past with Raven G21 holsters). It'll be good to go right out of the packaging. Perfect retention, smooth draw, not too tight, not too loose, etc.
  13. Last time I talked to them, they mentioned that they're looking into integrating the G-Code RTI Wheel as an option for their holsters. That would be a great move on their part since that would allow you to have the holster in a HSGI universal drop Holster platform, and quickly switch holsters depending on the gun type and with or without a weapon light at will. Definitely contact them and ask if there's been any progress on that!
  14. Wolf: Thanks! QDRenegade: Any plastic or kydex holster with tight tolerances will have issues accommodating both KWA spec and TM spec glocks. I have dedicated kydex holsters for either version's specs but not one that covers both. If you need a holster that regardless of gun type, that will give you good retention, not slow your draw etc, you'll probably want to use some kind of soft holster so that it'll adjust accordingly. I like the Noveske Exclusive JACO holster produced by Eagle Industries. It accommodates KWA/KSC/TM spec Glocks, with or without a weaponlight. It'll also accomodate 19
  15. Nice looking G19. I finally got around to finishing another Glock frame. TM G17 Guarder OD Green frame Guarder Steel Slide Various internal upgrades Waiting on my Gunsmodify Nightsights and zero hammer. Replicated the stipple job Boresight did on my other guns as closely as possible. Frame work done: * Grip reduction * Higher tang cut at the beavertail and base of the trigger guard reduction for a high tang grip * Finger humps removal * Trigger guard rounding * 360° stippling including front flats and trigger guard Amongst all the frames I've stippled,
  16. Granted the stock HK3P comes with a metal slide ... but there are far nicer ones out there. The finish alone leaves a lot to be desired.
  17. Good video. Seeing as you have a vented version of the replica OPS-Core helmet, you may want to add some kinda dummy cord from the NVGs to the vent in case the mount fails and the NVGs drop.
  18. Looking good. Did the slide take much to fit it to the HK3P frame? I seem to recall from feedback from others that the GunsModify hammer set needs to be broken in / dry fired 100 times to work properly otherwise you'll get malfunctions initially. Was that your experience? The GM tritium sights are great. Got them on three of my guns and love them. You may want to consider the PDI Palsonite TBB and PDI V-hold bucking if you haven't already installed them. Externally, the only thing left to do would be to reprofile and stipple the frame. Salient Arms Glocks just seem odd to me without that
  19. Please let us know if it works with the Glock. The threading on the outer barrels was primarily implemented keeping the needs for the US market in mind. The US market as you know requires a certain length of the front end painted bright red/orange. What this thread adapter allows the retailers to do is just paint that one part thread it in and glue it in place on the end of the outer barrel and you're done. It was just simpler for HK3P to produce one outer barrel with built in threading and decide later whether or not the barrel needs a painted thread adapter for the intended market it's going
  20. If the HK3P G17 is the same as the WE G17 (just with different trades) then IMO it's comparable to the TM G17, but I wouldn't necessarily say it's better. I've worked on 3 WE G17s so far. They've all had minor hop up issues. The plastic's not quite as nice with more noticeable seam lines. The slides less refined than other aftermarket slide manufacturers and the paint on them is ACM quality. But they're good for the price and fixable for less money than a standard TM G17.
  21. Both nice guns, both will give you similar performance. It's more a matter of which you prefer in regards to manual of arms and which you prefer the looks of.
  22. If I can remember to test it when I get home, I'll report back. One of my friends was using the Vickers base plates at a class we were all at this past Saturday. Those plates simply aren't my taste in terms of aesthetics. They're HUGE! I'd rather see 10-8 Performance come out with their own version of a Glock plate like they did for my M&P mags. Regarding Airsoft Glocks ... So while testing a WE G17, I liked the threaded extension so much that I decided I'd take advantage of it and get a longer TBB for it. Taking some measurements, I ordered a PDI Palsonite MEU barrel for it (113mm lon
  23. I've been curious about the zero hammer. Haven't really heard from anyone if it's any better. The serial plate number was for me less about the numbers matching ... It was more a matter of necessity. There's been a few times now when I've had to pull the Glock only to find the trigger locked in place by the "safety". Ive got a real gun that has no such safety and have never needed such a "feature" and I'm not going to start now. The Tritium sights ... I can't imagine going back to the old sights now. Definitely worth it. I've got it in all three of my TM Glock 17's The enhanced sli
  24. Nice. Have you considered stippling the frame like the way Salient Arms does theirs? Guess there's no need since the Gen 4 texture is so aggressive. I just installed the GunsModify Tritium sights, slide release and serial number plate on my Glocks. Absolutely love it. I highly recommend it.
  25. Very cool. How's the Gen 4 HK3P/WE Glocks? I've been testing a Gen 3 WE Glock 17 and it's pretty decent for the price.
