  2. They're a US based company. Wouldn't you be better off with a UK based company?
  3. Thanks Ocelot! I'm starting to think more and more about just making a bunch with custom multicam sheaths with Kydex inserts and selling them on ebay etc. I may not have a production pipeline to make thousands of these in one go, but I make them to hold up under the same conditions as that of the original sheaths. Yeah that video... I kept waiting to see one of those two guys slip on the knife and slice right through their hands. Now that I would have been something to see! lol
  4. Thanks Jake! I'm checking them out right now...
  5. I'd like to make the kydex inserts too... I just don't know of any decent suppliers of Kydex in the US, so if you know of any, please let me know. In the meantime, I basically just slide the kydex inserts straight out of the original OD green sheaths and slide them into the Multicam Sheaths. I've made real Kydex knife sheaths in the past. The inserts that they use in the Strider Sheaths are much more simple and are just a sheet of kydex wrapped around the knife once with one side overlapping. No trimming or anything complicated. Just a tube really. The difficulty is the length... diff
  6. I have some for sale if people are interested. I just sent some to akira the other day. So I'm willing to ship internationally if need be.
  7. Thanks! Yeah... I could definitely sell some Multicam sheaths. The only problem is that the way Eagle and SOTech make their kydex inserts for the sheaths vary a lot, so each sheath becomes a custom piece. One way to get around it would be to start making my own custom kydex inserts. That way I can do the entire sheath including the plastic insert and the user would just need the knife itself. I'll think it over. However, being that this is a Multicam thread I assume you're talking about the Eagle PC w/ cummerbund in Multicam... which comes in both S/M & L/XL... which Tria
  8. I've started making my own sheaths for my Strider Fixed Blades in Multicam: Here's one of my MTLs: MOLLE webbing on the back: With my Eagle Multicam CIRAS: I have my other MTL and its custom Multicam Sheath mounted on a Tactical Tailor Multicam leg rig: I've been making the Multicam sheaths to the same specs and dimensions as the original Eagle and SOTech Sheaths they came with. Only difference being that I dropped the external mag/utility pouch each sheath has as... to be honest, I never use the outer pouch and I wanted to see the camo p
  9. Yeah... that's what inspired me to consider getting it done. Although, I just don't know if I can bring myself to doing one. I used to own a SMF Drop Point with Double Gunner Grips and a SNG. Sold them off a few years back (which I now regret). The Recurves are looking pretty damn tasty though. I currently own a couple Buck/Strider folders (they're basically inexpensive SNGs) as my day to day carrys. Mostly because they're so cheap (less $50 a piece). That way I'm not terribly concerned about f'ing them up or loosing them. They stay pretty sharp but one's lost its point
  10. LOL! I know what you mean by the Strider addiction, Bro. Here's my current collection of fixed blade Striders... from left to right: MTL (No Stripes), MTL, MH, MT-MOD10 Sniper Speaking of which... I've started making my own sheaths for them in Multicam: Here's one of my MTLs: MOLLE webbing on the back: With my Eagle Multicam CIRAS: I have my other MTL and its custom Multicam Sheath mounted on a Tactical Tailor Multicam leg rig: I've been making the Multicam sheaths to the same specs and dimensions as the original Eagle and SOT
  11. No problem guys! Statik, was it hard installing the M203 onto the King Arms MRF 10" R.I.S.? Did you have to mod anything to make it work? I was always "told" that the MRF didn't allow for a non-RIS M203. Beautiful gun BTW!
  12. He posted that he decided not to do it because he felt that the colors were too minty green. So he had them send the AEG back before the process was done. Although, this pic of a RS rifles posted by Fellowz makes me think the Multicam dipping might look really cool.
  13. I did a write up and installation guide on Magpul Ranger & L floorplates for AEGs. Covers both RS Magpuls, and the Airsoft PTS Magpuls.
  14. Bare in mind that when it comes to Multicam items at DiamondBack Tactical, there's a minimum 8 to 10 week wait for items not in stock (which is most items). The reason for this being that Multicam isn't a hot enough pattern for them to keep high volume amounts of, and therefore they make it to order. However, they only make them to order, when they have enough orders placed for a minimum run of 25 pieces. So unless they have it already in stock in Multicam, you have a VERY long wait ahead of you (i.e. you may never receive it). I do like the looks of their 'fast attack plate carrier', b
  15. Pretty well. Well enough to stay in place at all times when going through constant movement? That depends on how tight you have the internal straps setup. There are internal elastic straps that control how tightly the pants are cinched in that area. I assume when you indicate leathers as a possible alternative, you're talking about motorcycles, and not bicycles. Leathers will probably always give you better protection than the heavy weight fabric of the Combat pants. If I was to go down on a bike (which I have) I'd rather be wearing leathers myself.
  16. To be honest, I'd really avoid touching anything related to real steel receivers, be it uppers or lowers. You start to fall into the gray area of legality with the Feds. Hand guards, stocks, flash hiders and other accessories should be legally fine for the most part. As for finding RS parts, start by looking at what styles and brands of RS parts you like, and then go to those manufacturers' web sites and look and see if they have authorized dealers listed, e.g. for specific parts, like VLTORs CASVs, you can start at VLTOR's site and go from there. For more generic parts, you can find a lot
  17. Yup, BlackHawk Industries SOLAGs. But it's the old style. The new style has additional padding etc. and looks quite a bit different.
  18. I know this is going to sound ridiculously obvious... but did you try Google?
  19. Agreed. A lot of fully painted rifles don't have much variation in their coloring. Souske's has a really nice balance.
  20. I like how it's more fitted to your torso. Some vests and plate carriers look and feel kinda bulky in comparison which I'm not a huge fan of (my own included). Looks great, especially for a knock off!
  21. Hi Akira, I have many yards of 1000D Coated Multicam in stock. If you're interested PM me. -Alex
  22. However, he specified Multicam if you re-read his post: Medic, which vest is that?
  23. Being that this is a Multicam thread... I'm guessing he's refering to Multicam... and not DPM.
  24. I've never seen replica fabric available for purchase. Why not just buy direct from Crye Precision? They sell fabric buy the yard.
