  1. My real upper and most I've handled also wobble, a foam earplug cut in half and placed under the takedown pin will fix that right up if it bothers you, but I find when actually using the gun that I tend to slighlty tension my arms inward which tends to lock the receivers tight against each other. Too bad the finish sounds weak but there is always cerakote to fix that. I want another GBBr for the Airsoft Practical Carbine league I hope to help start this summer, maybe I'll look into the KWAs.
  2. Didn't need shims to get it solid, but now I need a new upper, I was tightening the barrel nut and push through a chunk below the ejection port. Is there ANY way to source a spare like that short of buying an ARMY clone for parts?
  3. I must be crazy, I got the Dytac outer but the stock TM barrel nut assembly doesn't fit! The toothed collar portion that is screwed into the barrel won't slide on from either end.... On Ehobby they show it complete and aseembled with the MOE Handguard but no mention of other parts used.
  4. Same here, my local field went from psuedo-milsim every weekend to random nonsense every weekend, Hopefully OP Blacksheep at The Cove will be bad-*albatross* rumors of helo insertions and other such crazy stuff.
  5. I've never had either mine or Fathammer's receiver extension come loose, mine came from TM with a generous helping of loc-tite. In other news AWS is coming out with a new FET under a new name, Black Talon Concepts and the FET is called the Chimera, it is a hybrid of the AWS Raptor and Extreme-Fire Cheetah/LION 2N design, V2s and V3s are claimed to be 2 weeks from coming out and New V2 boards under way, so hopefully in a few months we have super sexy awesome FETs for our guns.
  6. Microswitch issue most likely, it is the Achilles' Heel of the design.
  7. The TMs are awesome stock but a little tuning with quality parts installed properly can improve the function of the gun. My TM couldn't sling a 0.30g BB 200ft flat with the stock parts, or have the trigger response it does.
  8. Ordered one of those DYTAC 14.5 Midlength Outers, should be here in a week or so, any things I should know before fitting it?
  9. Picture I took for a write-up on radios and gear for a local group, Left Side: Z-Tactical Bowman Z-Tactical U94 PTT Talkabout Right Side: Peltor SWAT-TAC I TEA U94 Wouxun KG-UV3D
  10. A second shot at Jaw Breaker IV, credit also goes to Cousins Airsoft.
  11. Myself in the middle facing the camera with the NSR patch, while waiting for Operation Jawbreaker 4 to begin, I was an Adviser assigned to the "platoon" you see in front of me, being an "Adviser" I was not directly allowed to engage the enemy so I had to run light, as allowing me to get hit would earn the enemy team other points.
  12. Yep I did fit the pin as I don't run anything lower than .27s (Such a shame they are getting hard to find in Bioval).
  13. Been too lazy yet to fit it, waiting for a few little things to come (Piston Head, MOSFET, etc) to come then I'll test it with the 120 spring, then I will fit the R-Hop and compare. I'm really only stepping up to the R-Hop because the current set ORGA + Hardest Flat-Hop + TM Bucking, can barely hop the .3s that I run now and I'd like to step that up to .4s if I can.

  15. Honzo, Snoopy's post was aimed at the shimming issue not the feeding issue, it depends you may only have to separate the upper from the lower and re-seat the nozzle or file the tip as I did to remove damage. As far as preventing it, if you have to open the gun might as well replace the nozzle, I did mine up with a Prometheus nozzle.
  16. If you can twist or turn it,it may have popped out of the notch in the tappet plate that holds it in. If it is damaged the front section of the nozzle that seats against the BB will not look correctly. I found this while working on a SOCOM, that with the nozzle mis-aligned and slight damaged it only fed on full-auto, as the nozzle rested forward slightly blocking the next bb from entering the chamber on full the cycle was delayed slightly and would allow the BB pop passed the nozzle.
  17. Check your Air nozzle it may be damaged or out of alignment.
  18. mrezzy, must be an issue with only the clone CASV, as my real CASV-M fits perfect.
  19. Stock range was at least well over 100' but I didn't test it as thoroughly, as today's skirmish was oddly well mannered for around here so I actually had the chance to range out the shots. As far as the Wide Bore goes the only thing I dislike about it so far is that it is Brass and not Stainless Steel, the machine work on the barrel looks top notch as I spent some time with calipers and straight edges checking the quality and how true to bore the cuts are, for more info http://orga-airsoft.com/products-page/magnus-barrel/magnus-6-23mm-widebore-barrel-aeg/. The Flat Hop is a commercial
  20. Just finally got to testing the TM with the ORGA and Flat Hop, decided to feed it 0.30g Biovals it was slinging them at 260fps +/- 4fps, current setup is stock piston and spring with Prommy cylinder head and a stretched piston O-ring. After getting a few kills from a fixed position to several other positions I used a range finder and determined that I was able to make several kills at 200-220', although with .3s and the stock bucking I was maxed out or nearly maxed out on hop adjustment to get a level flight path. I'm rather well impressed.
  21. I have the same problem on Fathammer's as well, in regards to the spring.
  22. I have a feeling some of that is to compensate for the increased cost of rare earth metals (used in PCBs and Electric Motors) as china has begun to ramp up its own industry there has been an increase in demand.
  23. Not required of late I only drink my home brew and local craft brewers, it is fun exchanging ideas, I do have hope for the emergent AEG technologies and do hope to see Systema knocked off the high horse they ride on.
  24. I contacted Terry/Gandolf of Extreme-Fire and gave him my specs, he recommended the http://extreme-fire.com/2011-SW-CHEETAH-2N.html or http://extreme-fire.com/2011-SW-JAGUAR-2N.html models, I'll be going with the Cheetah with Unconventional Airsoft's Software on it.
