  1. Yes, I think the going rate for everything is USD 380 for a slide, frame, faux extractor, and chassis. You are going to want a slide, frame, chassis, and faux extractor. These guns can go from wonderfully made to some of the worst guns you can buy. The Inokatsu is Real Steel spec in many areas, and a slide will NOT fit other aftermarket frames. Inokatsu had tons of rejects, the "ideal" reject is cosmetic. July_Pi sent me the best example of the M1911A1, then he called a shop that has these "ideal" rejected slide blanks ordered from Inokatsu. The slide was then engraved by him and finished
  2. The slide was a Inokatsu blank slide, the I had July_Pi from CustomGBB engrave trademarks. I picked a steel gun because it's easiest to get the high polish blued flats on it.
  3. You can see how I lapped the slide to the frame. I am not peening the slide with the hammer, there is just enough material to cause friction. I put small amounts of diamond paste on the inside of the slide and remove very small amounts of that material using the force of a dead-blow hammer Next is to adjust the barrel positioner with a file to get the outer barrel and barrel hood completely aligned with the lugs when the slide is at rest. Most Inokatsu slides sag in the rear of the slide, causing the slide to set itself ahead of the rear slide rails due to poor quality tolerances.
  4. Sorry for the awful pictures, but this is the start of my MGS Snake Eater 1911 based on the Inokatsu. The slide is custom made, with fictional NM 7267719 and semi-fictional MFR CAGE code on the right side. The inside of the slide has a barrel positioner like the guns from Swenson and Hoag did back in the '60s and '70s. This is probably going to be the tightest Inokatsu I know. The slide needed to be lapped before with diamond paste before I could get it to function.
  5. One-off Cobra (1986) 9mm conversion kit based on a Aluminum Nova NM Gold Cup. All anvil external steel parts including a Anvil 9mm Chamber with a WA Cobra 9mm "Bell type" Outer barrel made to fit the Marui Chamber. Cerakote done by OCT Stragegic, which is nice. Picked this up from Japan for less than the Nova Gold Kit cost itself because the man who commissioned the build was moving to Denmark and needed to sell it quickly because it's impossible to import from Japan. Still need to clean the paint up a bit more.
  6. That looks like a July_Pi custom.
  7. This looks prime for an aftermarket if they go into larger production.
  8. Those are really cool. Little known fact is UHC made them, and then they were sent to MGC in Japan. They were never as popular compared to the S&W 645 series, ironically compared to real life. UHC produced the most amount of guns for Japan, compared to any other non-Japanese company. From the TK VP70, Marukoshi Super-9, and most of the spring guns for Maruzen/Crossman and Tokyo Marui Spring pistol line up. An interesting company that most people thought just made junk, we're outsourced to make a lot of guns in the old days for big players in airsoft.
  9. Caspian originally made them to compete with STI/SV in th 90's. Like BigAl said, they are considered and called "somebody" I want an EMG just for it.
  10. I got sick and tired waiting for a decent replica of the MGS3 1911, I plan on building it myself. This is the bare bones mock up using the naked prime frame and slide. It's a WA R-type with a hybrid marui hop up and custom NPAS. But the gun is pretty much not even close to being done, so we'll see how everything turns out Custom 3d printed MSH, one in PLA other in titanium. Custom silencer
  11. Your best bet would be the TLR3/4 with this adaptor. https://lapolicegear.com/st-69225-tlr-usp-adpt.html The BLAST is a good option for an old fashion LAM, if you can find one. But the TLR is your best option for a modern day light with a genuine mount
  12. Yeah, I forget the flight restrictions on Lasers outside of the US. Really, the US is the only place to find a BLAST 1 or 2, forget about ever getting an IR unit. They were never popular once MIL-STD-1913 was standardized. Although they made mounts for a MIL-STD-1913 rail, by then even the smaller, lighter and easier-to-use BLAST 2 was far too obsolete compared to Surefire and Streamlight offering.
  13. Depends. You can find them in working condition between $100 to $190 on ebay every once and a while. I bought mine from a seller who wasn't into guns and didn't know what it was, but had this unit and was selling it for $80 on Ebay. It's not like the LAM's for the MK23 that cost thousands, are extreamly rare and boarder on useless. IR versions are expensive, though. I've skirmished with mine, when I did skirmish lol They really are a solid unit that will probably outlast my KSC lol. But yeah, there are not much in terms of a solid laser-light other than the UTL. Which is trash, imo.
  14. The LAM was purchased on Ebay, it's made by Laser Device Inc and is called BLAST. They made mounts for the USP, but also sig SP2009 and Walther P99. You will have to do some digging as I bought it back when they were made. But they discontinued them in 2010.
  15. KSC USP, a lot of RA-Tech and Maple Leaf internal stuff (been awhile, I've had this gun since 2011), Shooter Design Slide, RA-Tech barrel. B&T/CCF Impulse-II suppressor (for the real gun, but a dummy), LDI BLAST LAM. Might have "Tactical" engraved on the slide in the future.
  16. Thought about getting this off of Octagonairsoft, but decided I don't need another WA to collect dust. I do like this compared to Leon's Beretta.
  17. I had this catalog from my KWC Desert eagle. Hammer blew apart on C02 lol. God, I miss those days. I could pick up a full metal WA used pistol for less than $200 in any variations. Now I have to wait for Nova or someone to release a kit to make it look right because Marui has little differences from each 1911 models to model, and buying the correct aftermarket parts are very expensive.
  18. The 645 was made by MGC in 1989. It's an NBB. However, this was a custom gun by MGC Bondshop called the "Quick Action Combat" with the original safety replaced with a more 1911-ish thumb safety, trigger undercut, (witchita?) Bo-mar sight, 745 features. My own custom features are a custom high flow valve and a new 6.02 stainless barrel with a fixed r-hop. The gun came with no hop-up. The gun actually was only $80 shipped from Japan, but they are pretty hard to find.
  19. As artistic as my thumb, but where else to put it?
  20. Classic Army CA36 SLR, turning out nicely. Still wondering if I should go with Daytona Gun or HPA fusion.
  21. I guess that's how they survive. I moved away from buying WA's recently because they cost too much to buy stock. I promised the only WA I would pay big money for was the Swenson custom with the S&W sights. Building them used to cost less, but the hike in shipping and conversion rate now makes that costly too.
  22. Wanted to make a custom 1911 I could call my own, and skirmish with also: Marui series 70 Taino Koba frame with nova parts. Novak dovetail for sights. Detonator Heinie slant pro from the HK45, refitted for the 1911. Stock internals. My main skirmish pistol.
  23. Where did you get the heinie slant pro for the 1911?
  24. KSC USP with SD slide and LDI Blast 1
  25. Love that Kimber. Always wanted that kit.
