  1. That image in his sig is broken anyway. Could we maybe have a Mod remove the image? Let him know what's happened, of course.
  2. Link Malware warning text: Browser: Google Chrome 10.0.648.204
  3. You *HAVE* checked the Mosfet thread for a guide to fitting the things, right?
  4. Agreed - it just looks too small.
  5. I like the scope rail, The RIS covers don't do the looks any favours, in my opinion, though...
  6. The Airsoft SA-80s I've seen come with mag catch guards. All the RS L85A1s had them, that's one of the things that made them A1s, and of course the L85A2s all have them.
  7. Open it up and use a few spots of glue to hold it the right way up?
  8. I quite like it. Although wouldn't it have been easier just to attach the RIS rail directly to the side of the AG36?
  9. How have you done that taclight mount?
  10. Yep, it's a great pic. Well done. Also a good illustration of why Desert Boots are no good for wet British woodlands!
  11. Er, no. It's for adjusting to suit left- or right-handed shooters, not for changing in a combat situation. You know whether you're left- or right-handed, you set up the weapon accordingly. Unlike the SA80 which has only right-handed versions available. Although rumours persist of left-handed versions having been made in limited numbers, but they're about as common as unicorn feathers.
  12. Ah, but the AUG is convertible for left or right handed use in only a few minutes with basic tools and no additional parts.
  13. Just get an AUG. Polymer body and superior to the L85 series since day one.
  14. The A1 didn't have a protector for that release catch - which became a problem within about 30 seconds of soliders using the weapon. (Why anyone thought it would not be an issue is beyond me ) So they tack-welded a little shield thing onto it. Likewise, the dust cover - originally the SA80 didn't have one, and people were apparently surprised that the working parts kept filling with ###### through this big hole in the side...
  15. They're only spot-welded.
  16. Buy a second AEG and put the UGL on one and the rails on the other.
  17. Just kinda seems out of place since the rest of the plastic furniture will still be green.
  18. Doesn't it come with a green handguard on the UGL?
  19. I dunno, it just looks 'shopped to me... Something about the lighting, or the colour balance, or something....
  20. Can't comment on those pictures, as I left my magnifying glass in my other jacket...
  21. You miss the point, which is not related to any specific incident, either of Mod actions affecting myself or anyone else, but rather a general reaction to observed patterns of Mod actions over time. No user should have to make an "educated guess" as to what Mod did what. If whatever action was taken is legitimate, then there's no issue with owning up to who did it. If it's not legitimate, then it shouldn't have been done in the first place. While it's clear that most Mods will be busy a lot of the time, and claim this prevents them from informing users about actions that might be taken
  22. Mods need to do things from time to time. No one argues the need for this. Sometimes - for whatever reason - they don't contact the user concerned to explain the situation. We'll not go into this. Therefore, any Mod who takes action should be required to put his/her ID on the action, so that if there is confusion or any other issue, they can be contacted for further information. Also, it's a pretty basic courtesy. Before someone says something along the lines of "We don't have time to do that" - how long does it take to type your name? Not long. I've seen other sites where the
